This celebrating as if you'd won the league as opposed to staying in it is getting a bit tedious

I was just saying that to my other half.  I guess it shows the size of their club in relation to the size of their task in just surviving.  I don't recall us celebrating when we finished 17th a couple of years ago! Fair play to Huddersfield though.  Two tough away games and two decent points gained.  Swansea will lose anyone any good but the Championship already looks tougher with Blackburn and Wigan coming up from below.  I hope we win the play offs.

There will be even less good teams in the Championship next season and even less excuse for us not pissing it.

I'm sure you said the same this season Richard and yet, we didn't piss it.  I hope that you are right, although I fancy the likes of Blues, Forest and Albion to be much better next season.  We need to get our business done early and have a settled squad right from the start of the season.   We will have a derby game every couple of weeks with Blues, Forest, Albion, Stoke, Derby et al down there.  I hope we go up through the play offs this season.

I'm beginning to think our fans are as delusional about Blues as their fans are. The number of predictions I've seen on here that they're going to be good next season boggles the mind. They've been nowhere near promotion in 6 years and have only stayed up on the last day in three of those years. On what fucking planet are they a threat to us?

I didn't say they are going to win the Championship, chill your beans.  Delusional is way over the top too.  I simply said they will be better than this season and given there will be lots of derby games, it makes things tougher, more competitive.

sha and the bitters will be definitely be battling it out for the main prize for both. Who can sing "we hate Villa more than you" the loudest. Sad twats.

Yes modern day football players celebrating being shit rather than totally shit.

Yep, would never have happened back in the day

Why do you spoil everything with data?

Because opinions stated like fact tend to give credence to the flat earth era so it’s best all round. No pun intended.

Edit - not statements like fact but statements that give no regard to the historical occurrence of such acts based on evidence gathered in the last few years. And I think the flat earth one still holds... I’ll go back to bed now.

I take deep personal offence at dross like Huddersfield, Watford and Bournemouth being in the top flight while we are not. Thankfully the most tin pot top flight club of them all lost their status this week, and hopefully we shall be returning to our rightful place in 16 days' time.

I had a bet on Barcelona to beat Villareal 4-1 last night. They won 5-1.

All Charlton in the early stages. They’re managed by racist horrible Bowyer, so supporting Shrewsbury.

I found it shocking when likes of Stoke, Blackburn, West Ham, West Brom and and and were rubbing shoulders with us and now it's far too painful

Personally I don't see anything to suggest Small Heath won't struggle again next season. In my opinion they have a weak squad (which could be weakened further if they have to sell a couple for financial reasons) and a manager that is half decent but doesn't inspire much confidence in me (I wouldn't want him as our manager). I think they will be in the lower third of the table again next year.

this is where im coming from. they've had the new manager bounce, admittedly its gone on, but with a clean slate and other teams not being side tracked with other games. I think small heath will finish lower half of the table.

next year's championship will be even tougher than this season with Blackburn coming up, Stoke, Swansea and West Brom all looking to go back to the Premiership.  If Fulham stay down then they will be a handful as will Middlesborough
