I work in an office infested with Dingles, so if that happened it would be like Christmas coming early.

My lad went to Fulham for the second week on the trot on Saturday - he reckons Wolves were worse than we were there and Fulham should have had 5.  He said their fans were rubbish, oretty quiet and had a song about us and one about Blose.  He is convinced they are going to blow up under the pressure, it would be very funny of it happened!!

On a side note, watching MOTD last night, what the fuck have they done to Benteke? It's a fucking disaster, somebody should call in social services or something, it shouldn't be allowed to continue.

I'm hoping it's all just a ruse from the big man to get himself back here in a cut price deal.

I think it was on MOTD last night (or it may have been Talksport or even both) that they were comparing the career trajectory of Benteke compared to Lukaku. I loved Benteke in a Villa shirt but he did have a tendency to either be on fire or let his head drop. Not many players get a big move at what should be the peak of their career, flop and come back to be as good or better than ever. If we go up I would be tempted to take a chance on him but another part of me thinks that is my heart ruling my head.

Benteke would probably suit Bruce's tactics but if we ever got a manager who wanted to play decent football, we probably wouldn't see the best of Benteke.

No Villa player has given me a metaphorical hard-on like Benteke for at least 20 years. I'm not alone.

There's not many I'd take back but the temptation would be way  too much in his case. Get him at a snip, give him the love he's missed and Jack buzzing around him and we'd be on fire. He'd have a field day with our delivery at the moment.

Benteke at his best can do the lot, create, score, hold the ball up or generally just be a menace even if he is out of form.

So I wouldn't worry about him fitting a particular style of football.

The concern is he might be one of those players who has coined it after a couple of big contracts in a row and can't be arsed.

Best Villa player for 20 years in my opinion.  Best Villa centre forward I have seen going back to and including Trevor Ford.
