This in unthinkable. Almost as shocking as if England had left Beckham out of the team at about 75 caps , end of his useful life as a international footballer, rather than "awarding" him 50 + more caps.

Richards and McCormack should be playing in this Soccer Aid game.  It's as close as either of them are going to get to a pitch and a competitive game this season.  No doubts Richards would have gone down after three minutes, clutching his wallet.
