Can anybody (admittedly based on meaningless friendlies) advance an argument for us to finish top ten next season never mind top two?
denial and blind optimism?

We really look like we don't have a clue how to create a decent chance never mind actually score a goal.

Why would we be playing so negatively against Walsall? I mean we have a good central defence now. Well done Bruce. Now how about the rest of the pitch?

What's the point of bringing on a sub with two minutes to go in a pre-season game ?

I remember seeing a preseason friendly at the Banks, we won about 4-1 I think. Whittingham scored from miles out.

Another change? Bruce does know the game is about to end, doesn't he?

So 2 games against mediocre 3rd division sides and we managed a grand total of 1 goal through a dodgy penalty. What a time to be alive.

We really do seem clueless apart from set pieces.
