It's always good winning against Surrey; great performance from Elliot, CdG (I've criticised him this season, mainly for his bowling) and Hose. Jeet came back well from a mauling early on.
Swap OHD for Woakes and or Barker and we've a chance next week.

Ps I'm at a sodding wedding next Saturday!

Unlucky. I just got offered a couple from a Yorkshireman who doesn't want them for some reason so looks like I am going.

28-2 v Lancs. the team looks a bit bowler heavy; Stone down to come in a 5.

I have 2 spare tickets for Saturday's Finals day at Edgbaston, there are £66 each situated in the Lower Tier Motorpoint stand.

There is a downside you will be sat next to me.

PM me if interested

Might just about scrape a draw if the bad weather continues.  Looks like Somerset and Middlesex will draw as well meaning we are still in with a chance of staying up, albeit a slim one.

We have taken a wicket in Lancs second innings, so at least it will not be a 10 wicket defeat to add the to this season's 4  losses by an innings.

A second wicket for Barker, so we will only lose by 8 wickets.

Good times!

The rain didn't save us in the end.  That's pretty much sealed relegation now hasn't it?

Ashwin not surprisingly had a great debut for the Pears :-) promotion bid is back on, shame its Notts next week though :-)

Not enough runs at 3 or 5 still tho.

I would say it is nailed on.

Still 4 games to go and 3 of them at Edgbaston. CDVILLAIN wiil not be surprised to hear that those 3 games contain not a single day at the weekend.

I would never moan about that sort of thing...

Mind you, I'm not convinced we would be packing the stadium out in current form, regardless!
