I did a double take when I read this:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/40825768

Giles has been very busy and I like what he's doing with the squad.

Bloody Sidebottom! Thought we were trying to get the average age down.

 ;D

Took 8 wickets for the seconds recently, so should have something about him.

I'd sign Ali for the 'prestige'. England pay his wages as he's on a central contract, and we'd have him for a handful of County and One-Day games as well as big games like Semi-Finals.

Do the counties 'top up' the central contract payments with some extra money ie. the players are paid by the ECB, but then the county also pay them on top of that as with the IPL etc?  Obviously a class player and would strengthen any county team.

Going down to Edgbaston tonight. Let's hope it's a win for the Bears.

He's more than decent. I saw him verses the music ghty K&D recently. Very sharp and I think the BDPL top wicket taker.

Great crowd and Rapids have a good start. Clarke's not taking any prisoners. 2 sixes in his first over

Yeah pulled this back really well. Was staring at 230/240 after the powerplay.

I'd say anything below 200 is below par.

Daryl Mitchell is a big Villa fan and a nice fella. Me and Pat were talking to him in a Sheperds Bush pub after QPR a few years ago. A long story.....

190-7 Sibley and Patel bowling Bears back into contention after Clarke and Hastings had ripped open the early bowling. Expect Bears to get this.

Be interesting to see how the two young lads Tongue & Brown go with the ball.

On the subject of Mo, I think he will return to you guys at some point, he is a Moseley boy after all, wonder if he would have even made it if he hadn't moved tho?  He definitely got plenty of chances where he didn't cut it early on.

105 required off 10 overs. Going to be nail biting I reckon.
