Theres not a chance that he's seeing the season out. May aswell get it sorted asap and give ourselves as much time as possible.

Correct, just hope the new owners think the same

The idea of him staying 2 more games seems such a waste. International break, get it done now. He's failed, completely. We are completely unbalanced at the back, and have no pattern of play going forward. We spent pre season trying 352, then bought in Jedinak in a 4 man back line for the second game, after we won at Hull with Elphick there. None of his decisions have been logical at all. Much like the last days of Lambert, he's completely lost his way and is now making illogical decisions. Last season Terry held the side together and organised the back 4 completely. Without him there is a problem that the others seemingly don't know their role.
Spot on, with you there. It’s time to get rid.

Only that we need to be confident of securing a decent replacement before firing Bruce.

If he was clearing his locker in the morning then we would want to know that someone was close to being secured or that we knew there were a few available options to interview that the new owners and CEO would be happy with.

It would not make sense to have Agnew and Calderwood in temporary charge and then find the search is going to take longer than hoped and/or that the quality of candidates is not as great as we/they would want. I hope that the CEO is earning is money and working on this now.

I reckon we'll be waiting until the next international break.

It would be some arrival if the new CEO gave Bruce his P45 from one hand whilst dishing out a contract to our new (hopefully carefully scouted and appraised) manager with the other hand, all before he's even had time to find out where the coffee machine is.

In reality this is probably the best we can hope for if they’re not going to jump now. Can’t say I’m looking forward to Blackburn, if there’s a repeat, then the Bruce Out chants are going to be loud and live on TV too.

Your post is correct, I would hope we have someone or some managers lined up, keeping him just prolongs our, his and the clubs pain. Reading all the posts the vast majority do not trust Steve Bruce to achieve promotion, so termination of his contract is best for all. Hope our owners think the same

Good call The Edge.  Bruce's treatment of Ross McCormack was every bit as bad as any piece of bomb squaddery by Lambert.

In fairness, no-one really knows what has gone on there and no other team has taken him even on loan over here apart from Forest a while back.

But idiotically playing it out in public & for cheap publicity points he devalued him to the point that we are stuck with him.

Why?

We're literally going nowhere with Bruce. If anything, him wasting the last two years has made it less likely we'll get out of this division any time soon. As this is the last season with any kind of parachute payment money it really is shit or bust.

We don't have any time to waste.

I don't really see a negative in him going now, even one of the coaches would be preferable to him stumbling along until the owners have no choice. A previous poster said that he could put up with the mundane spirit destroying football if the results were there or if we had a squad not capable of better. With a better manager we would be in the premiership now.

on a happier note U2 had to end their show early over the weekend due to St Bono suffering a complete loss of voice. I'm praying it lasts forever.

I have just read the full transcript from his post Sheff Utd press conference. You have to conclude he talks utter drivel and he's totally deluded. First: "I have been out of this league four times" What? That doesn't even make sense although I understand what he was trying to say. Second: " we got to the play off final so I think that proves I do know what I'm doing" (obviously aimed at the fans) We fucking lost Steve. And on saturday he blamed unfit players. Deflection. The truth is we got battered by a side who in only there second year have learned lessons from the first, stabilized things and kicked on to the point where they batter a team who beat them at the same venue last year. All with a fraction of the resources afforded to Bruce. He's a charlatan. A shit manager and worst of all a bullshitter who's just biding his time waiting for his big pay off.

But the fans would have wanted to know whay he wasn't being picked. Would you have rather him lied about it? Besides, word of what happened would have got round anyway.
