It’s the relentless mediocrity, or worse. We’re always, at best, a game away from a rubbish display. He has no apparent plan to attack, we have no defensive shape, we have players in the wrong positions. Is it any wonder we look clueless? Just get rid, he’s had more than enough time to show progress and he just hasn’t.

As for his coaches? Bloody hell, we looked better before we nicked Calderwood off Brighton. It's like he brought a gypsy curse with him. Brighton play in the top flight for the first time in nearly half a decade and we bodge up must wins against the likes of Bolton Wanderers.

It's just so embarrassing for the club, with the positivity of new owners, that we go out to Burton.  Where is the pride in wanting to go to Arsenal in round 3, or Liverpool at home in round 4?  Nah, fuck that, we will go out against lowly Burton.  The side he picked was ok, but where is the professional pride?  If the owners have any sense, they get through Saturday and bin him.  Biggest job he's had for 20 years and he treats it like this?  Fucking disgrace.
I think that’s a great point.  Bruce goes on about how big the job is and yet shows very little respect to the position.

To be fair, we're normally 45 minutes away from a shite display. How many 90 minute performances under Bruce? You can probably count them on two hands.

I hope he has promised a more positive approach,  as i don't believe the other will work. Either we are top after 6 games or he should go. But my gut feelings say p:6 2w 4d 0 l, which isn't good enough
My gut feeling looks like was not far off

It feels as if this season that every player has at least one horror mistake in them per game. That comes from not knowing what they're supposed to do.

I posted on the match thread that I firmly believe that there is an essence of Eric Black about Bruce and his team selections.  I believe he knows he's gone and is being obtuse in his team selections, wrong players picked, correct players wrong positions etc.  I've read all the arguments of both sides for keeping Bruce, but this again tonight, is unforgivable.  New CEO or not, he's got to be told to pack his stuff.  He can proffer all the excuses he wants but it's obvious to me that he cares little or nothing for Aston Villa or its supporters.

We've won 1 of the last 5 and that was somewhat fortuitous against Yeovil. Still the 4 we didn't beat are those powerhouses of football, Ipswich, Burton, Brentford and Reading.

Trying to be as rational as possible, he's been here 2 years and I still haven't got a clue what he's trying to do most the time.

Mentally he's out of the door. We have new ownership, seemingly deep pockets and have kept the most exciting talent in the league. So why does it feel like we're days away from administration still? Maybe it's because Bruce is a hangover from a failure.

Worryingly I think he's been here 2 years and still hasn't got a clue what he's trying to do himself.

I think you can say he has finally lost the fans.   Not a proBruce fan here tonight.

I stand by my view that it was a crass miscalculation by the new owners not to make a clean sweep on their arrival.  They kept a failed manager because it was the lazy, easy thing to do.  Instead of being brave and sending out the message loud and clear that things had changed at Villa Park they sent out the message that nothing had changed.  And it hasn't.  Bruce is still being Bruce.  Bruce is still trousering a colossal wage packet and the Villa can't  beat teams with inferior squads and a fraction of the finance.  We have had some shockingly bad managers post Ellis but Bruce is the worst.

It’s gone on long enough. He has to be fired
