Even if he had money, he'd still be the same man who has overseen this financial shambles we are witnessing. He is not capable of making the right choices to run a football club.

Plus he's skint. Everything points to it right now.

the manager and financial situation are two different things imo

i honestly believe that even if we had gone up the premiership money would have just masked over the troubles for a later date with Xia,
we would have had to spend most of it on new players, maybe buying some of the loan players, and players wages
the cash flow/money problems would have come again at some time as i don't think Xia is anything like the man he would have us believe he is

Bruce is a different case,
he certainly hasn't helped with the financial meltdown buying a load of old plodders and putting them on massive wages with virtually no chance of selling any of them to ease the cash flow because they arn't good enough to old or payed to much money that alone is unforgivable but not the main reason we are in this hell hole

personally hate his football, his tactics, the players he's bought in are mostly poor there is not one thing i can think of that makes me think he is any good with or without backing

now the squad has been stripped bare of the loan players and in time the expected sale of our saleable assets what we have left is no where near worthy of the money Bruce has spent
we will start the season with every last one of Bruce's boys as literally not a single one could you get your money back because they are not good enough, to old or on to bigger wages

that's where we are, the blokes build nothing, has nothing of worth to sell and has no idea what to do in footballing terms to get us out of this mess

whatever else Bruce has done while at Villa the one thing he has not done is given us any stability,
i laugh my bollocks of when i see the word stability linked with Bruce, you couldn't get any further from the truth to suggest it frankly

we are in the least stable position we have ever been in certainly in my lifetime on and off the pitch
if we want to give ourselves a chance to improve, move forward create some stability try and manoeuvre our way out of the shit trough it will not be with Bruce he just doesn't and cant do it,
you don't even need to be a genius to see it , its right there in front of our eyes

there is not a single good reason to keep him no matter what happens off the pitch..........imo

Brilliant post;

Although I would just pick up on one point = stability.

Before Bruce came in I always had the impression the dressing room was lost. I had the feeling we were like Sunderland are now, lacking in desire, team spirit etc. I have seen desire and team spirit with Bruce, they work for each other etc And Grealish/Davis have come on leaps.

However, I agree with everything else you say. I'm no fan of Bruce or his style of football.

He may have introduced a bit of unity and spirit in the dressing room but that's not the same as stability.  Too many of the signings were so obviously short term for that. And well said John E.

So, with all these negative and doubtful opinions, which may be right (I agree with some, not others) do you still have a season ticket? Bruce in or out isn't the burning platform right now I'd say. Prefer our expectations were to enjoy Championship with a view to rebuild completely at value over 3-5 years. Forget instant return to prem in any 'next season' without a plan doesn't matter who is manager.

Surely the stability came about because we had professionals playing for us such as Terry and Snoddy who would not have put up with any slackers. They have gone and I hope we can find a new owner so we can dispose of Bruce as well.
