he's been here for two years now

we know all about him, what he does how he plays, how close he came last season

so by now you either think he's the right man for Aston Villa or you don't
one result (Sheff Utd/Rotherham)  good or bad shouldn't be changing anyone's mind

I can't believe anyone is still undecided about him one way or the other
he is what he is he's not going to change
He's either good enough or he's not

You're right John, his limitations as a coach were shown up way before the Sheff Utd game, his amount of signings is testament to that.

According to the Mail there were supportive chants for Bruce after the second goal last night.

By god if that’s true, some punters have incredibly low expectations

It's called supporting a football team.
I was in the Trinity near the Holte. A few tried to get the "Stevie Bruce's claret and blue army" chant going but it was a handful and barely audible. Each to their own I suppose.

Steve, do yourself a favour mate, clear your desk and leave.  At your age and with no doubt your financial security you don't need the hassle.

We, as a collective of  football supporters who, for some, put their hard-earned money into turning up on a regular basis don't deserve to be referred to as, in your words, mad.  It's clear to many that you have not moved with the times when it comes to footballing inovation and your stubborn refusal to do so leaves you wide open to critisism and ridicule.

I'll put this a simply as I can: If you were a regular paying customer of a restaurant and you were continually fed sub-standard food, would you keep returning to be served up the same fare with no signs of improvement?  No, you wouldn't nor would you be expected to.  We Aston Villa supporters and football supporters everywhere deserve to have our fare served up fresh, tasteful and full of new ideas on the menu.  I'm afraid Steve, it's time for a new chef.

As I said earlier, you really don't deserve the self-inflicted abuse but the only person to blame here is you.  For the sake of all, do the decent thing and go.

Yep, it's definately advisable to take a mint along for the journey home after chowing down on the excrement he's serving up every week.

The club is more important than the manager, particularly this manager.

I was at the other end of the ground and it was surprisingly loud. Definitely a significant amount of support for Bruce.

I am beginning to worry that our new owners are as weak and media manipulated as Lerner and Xia.  To me he is, to steal a phrase from the great David Lacey, a stoker on the bridge.  He ploughs his own course ignoring the charts, the rocks, the icebergs and the screams of the paying passengers as nonsense.

I don't think that's correct Brian. I don't agree with it but I can also see why they kept him. And while we are "there or thereabouts" (i.e in the top 6 within touching distance of the top 2) he's not going to get fired. But Bruce has been incredibly lucky in us pulling out late results; draws to wins, losses to draws. That's going to run out eventually. Beating Rotherham at home isn't exactly some incredible feat he should be bragging about, so while he's not gone yet, any run where we lose a couple of games putting us out of reach of the top 2, I can't see our owners putting up that.

“I have got four promotions, last year I nearly had a fifth. Yet I don’t know what I am doing? Unfortunately it filters through the mad few. The vast majority of supporters are right behind what we are trying to do. You can feel it in the stadium. If they wanted me out, the stadium would have erupted with it before the start. The supporters can see we had a bloody awful performance at Sheffield. Now we are sitting in sixth. I hope it shuts a few up. But I doubt it.”

Suggested that as well last night Risso. He's a pathetic little man point scoring off minor successes at every turn. The sooner he's gone the better.
