It's worth noting that all of Hogan's goals were scored inside the 6 yard box. Abraham is a very similar type of poacher. If we don't know how to service Hogan what chance does Abraham stand?
Ha! Interesting observation.

I always thought Abraham was a stronger physical presence.

Hogan has been chucked under the bus by the way Bruce lumps high balls up to him when he plays (hasn't Bruce been doing similar to RHM recently?) .  I still reckon he'd be a good finisher if used properly.  Ultimately I blame Bruce for signing a(nother) player he didn;t really know what he was going to do with.

Abraham will hopefully have the confidence carry on getting into the right positions if he misses a couple rather than go into his shell like Hogan did.

Good grief, don't people realise that Abraham is our new centre half!

In which case whose fault was it he didn't show this form before or afterwards?

Scott Hogan’s.

He’s had numerous chances but only fleetingly shown that he is up to it. As with managers, some players don’t handle the step up to the challenge of working at a club where the weight of expectation is much bigger than they are used to.
Don’t agree with weight of expectation factor. He is either not good enough or he is being tactically wasted. I think he is good enough as he scored plenty for Brentford who play at the same level as us so IMO he has been wasted by an incompetent coach.

It’s atandard stuff, when the managers position becomes indefensible, blame the players.
Although I don’t think Hogan is good enough.

I think the Hogan thing is a myth. He had a decent short spell when he scored a few in successive game and looked suited enough to the way we played then. He didn’t sustain it though and we had to bring in Grabban.

Doesn't that sound like a lot of our players?

This is what happens when you have a Manager without style, tactics, imagination and a total lack of direction.

Bruce has the luxury of being able to replace players that are out of form instead of being able to sort the underlying fault.

Sounds rather like Grabban as well.

How true is it that Bruce started injured players v Sheff u and how much was that the factor for the 4-1 and general poor performance.

As I have now seen he was playing ones who hadn't trained all week or something then that's a near disciplinary or even sacking offence !

Ridiculous not utilise the squad , castigate players ok 1 performance and not use them and use so called unfit players in a competitive match..
Fair enough if didn't have a squad but it all very strange

And sound like excuse even though Bruce said it's not excuse but not right to say such things about playing unfit players .

Unbelievable

In some fairness to spudface Kod was due back, and was back playing, by mid September. It's hard to blame him for Kod getting crocked against sha and then totally fecked away on international duty.

By mid September our automatic promotion boat had sailed.  He should have had an experienced player in on loan for the start of the season.  At the start of the season, there was no certainty that he was going to be back fully match fit.
