Don't care about any interviews with owners after the last one.

Let's see a progressive CEO signed up.

If/when SB goes, let's see a very ambitious/progressive appointment as manager rather than another recycled guy.

Those things will impress me much more than soundbites.

Yes, agree, put the infrastructure in place first.

I think that's why appointing Henry as manager would have been a mistake.

We need some experienced, sensible heads there to support the manager.

The last few weeks for me has just underlined how many moronic fans our club has. People wanting Henry over Bruce? The untried Henry? Oh, but untested managers are a success all the time, people wail on Twitter, while conveniently forgetting the ten unheard of failures to every one success. Bruce isn't perfect, not by a long way. He made mistakes that someone of his ability should never have made last season (maybe the loss of both his parents was a factor?) and his tactics at times baffled me, but what the club needs right now is stability, not another go in the casino.

What will help Bruce now is the new people showing willing by offering some funding, and a good run of results to start the season.

‘Double denim and with ripped knees  -   no no no on every level’

Ha ha, yes, and I also saw a photo of him wearing a suit, posh shoes but no socks. How can you trust a man like that?

Yep utterly moronic to be fed up of watching shit football and grasping at straws in the hope of something better.  I think they've made the right decision but I can totally understand why some people aren't happy with it because Bruce had everything stacked in his favour last year and fucked it up.

Well yes but not moronic.  The argument is that Henry could be anything from completely out of his depth to a guy destined for greatness whereas we know Bruce will do just enough to not get sacked but not enough to be exciting. People wanting a club they follow as a hobby to take a risk on being exciting instead of muddling along 'there or thereabouts' isn't moronic.

Or in Bruce's case, Russian roulette.

It's better to wait, employ a CEO, cultivate a structure and then make a decision based on evidence that a new manager can excute a plan, rather than leap into the dark with what in all likelihood would be a French Sherwood rather than a Poch.

Sacking Bruce and employing Henry to replace him would have been a grossly reckless decision.

I agree to a large extent, my problem is saying anyone who doesn't agree is a moron.

The biggest appointments now will be who will run the club day to day. That will be absolutely critical to get right.

He signed Hogan and Hourihane and ignored or didn't appreciate their strengths.

In what way did Bruce ignore Hourihane's strengths ?

Seeing as we signed him as a goal scoring midfielder and he did exactly that ?

Playing him too deep.

The role that either Jedi or Whelan played to allow to him to go further forward you mean?

If he had midfielders with legs, he may have got into the positions that suit his game.

The fact that he did exactly that tends to knock your argument on it's head somewhat old chap

Steve Bruce knew nothing about a deal for Andre Moreira - and insiders say Jorge Mendes is working on four further deals. [@reluctantnicko ] #avfc
