you know what - even if we win the play-offs I can see Dr T ditching Bruce the day afterwards.
He either gets sacked on May 7th or 27th.

Not sure the last two games are that much of a surprise really. This type of thing happened before Christmas and it happened last season.

Bruce has limited tactics and gameplanning, and we clearly do little work on passing or movement in training. He just relies on good team spirit and the 11 he puts out clicking on a particular day.

When you have a team full of the better players in this division that is going to work quite a lot of the time, and you are going to get good runs. But when they are not on their game, there is no base level of passing to fall back on, no consistent system to rely on to get you through games.

Cardiff, Wolves, Derby, Fulham and Reading away, 0-0 at home to Milwall, Brentford and Boro (who had 10 men for 85 minutes), blowing a 2-0 lead at home to Sheffield Utd, losing at home to Sheffield Wednesday, then the shambles of the last 2 games.

That's 12 games where we have been really, really poor, and you can't expect to get automatic promotion not turning up for a quarter of the season.

Post-match interview https://twitter.com/AVFCOfficial/status/975103290533990400

"We couldn't get hold of it in midfield and we couldn't get our wide players to give us that cutting edge".  - So I fucked the lot of them off into the stands and tried hoofball for 25 minutes.

Oh and "we've had a difficult few days with 2 defeats ... but that's what the championship is" pisses me off, it's as much of a verbal tick as 'great bunch of lads', 'we go again' and numerous others.  It's his get out clause after every poor result to say that it's just what happens in this league.  You've had 9 fucking seasons in here and it's your job to win games, you don't get to shrug and say 'not my problem' when it goes wrong.  I could carry on but I'm too fed up to listen to any more of it.

Agree, there are just too many of these performances and results.

Agree with all of that, been saying pretty much the same myself.

He should be sacked the morning after when we lose in the play offs. Missing automatic promotion is already a failure considering the squad he's got. He couldn't better Warnock and his average squad.

I'm still wondering how he ever thought 4-1-1-4 was a good idea.

Yup, too little accountability and a smug assurance not evidenced on the field in the performances.
Frankly, the tactics and game management today were rubbish.

Spot on for me Andy - pretty much what I am saying on the post match thread -  it's all about opinions etc but there are many who still feel we are on track for promotion -  I just happen to think we are now coming off the rails  - it's all very well and good and riding your luck and getting the results despite the performance but that will only get you so far -

Warnock on a shoestring is now clear.  SB in a game where we are still in it takes off are only real chance of winning- who probably cost more that the Cardiff team.   There’s a cir.....

If Bruce is so fucking good at getting teams out of this division, how come we haven’t won the league already?
He has had far, far more experience than anyone else, so why the fuck are we pissing about with the play offs?

Let's stop talking bollocks about luck, as if it is even something that exists.

We've won 20 games, the 3rd highest in the league and we've scored 60 odd goals, the 3rd highest in the league. We are where we deserve to be.

Fucking luck.
