The thing I find most ridiculous is that Bruce has made us competitive we lose on the odd occasion, he has one of the best win rates in our history (but can't use that as stats that show Bruce in a positive way are ridiculous). Under Bruce we are going into games thinking we could win, it's been so long since we could do that, that I'd actually forgotten what that felt like. But he is seen by some as the worst manager ever and should be sacked immediately after lose a game.

But yet RDM who only managed 1 win in 11 which was at home against the team that spent the whole of last season stone dead last, he also managed to sign a keeper that was worse than Brad Guzan (which takes some doing) and made him our number 1. But based on no evidence other than he had a good song for the fans to sing people seem convinced that he was the massiah and was going to turn it around and get us promoted.

With the talk of evidence how about providing some to back up the idea that people thought he was the messiah.  Most people who've offered defence for RDM ponit to the fact that he made quite a few of his most important signings towards the end of August and only really had about 6 games with them.  He was making a mess of things but even still sacked after 12 games is an incredibly short time to have any impact on a club that had been relegated as one of the worst sides the premier league had seen.

I have no idea if he would've fixed things (I suspect not) but I do know that the only meaningful justification for ditching him at the time was that the board thought acting quickly could give us a chance of still making the playoffs.  However much people try to deflect from it that will have been Bruce's target last season.  If nearly 2 years later we're still in this league then Bruce has to go, it's really that simple and he knows it himself.

No one has called him the worst manager ever either, and I haven't seen anyone suggest he should've been sacked after Tuesday but right now pushing moderate opinions as extreme seems to be the primary discussion tactic for some on here so it's no surprise to see you try to sensationalise things to make yourself seem reasonable.
You pretty much mirror my points above; although with rather more words  ;D

Yeah, I read your reply after I'd posted it, brevity isn't a strong point.

RDM was a disaster who's only positive was bringing in Kodjia

And Adomah, and Chester.
Hey, Paul, don't be hard on yourself: brevity is possible  ;)

he is operating in the championship
we are the biggest club in it by a million miles and then go another million miles
we spent more than anyone else in this league ever
wage bill is the largest in our league
even the dipshit that your moaning about got WBA up in this league that's how bad it is

coco the clown would have a decent go at getting Villa into the play offs

He's not all that, he really isn't

RDM spent the loads more than Bruce and won 1 in 11,   But clearly being only able to beat the worst team in the championship is a clear indication that he was on the brink starting our charge to total domination.

After years of failure we needed someone to stabilize us which Bruce has.   But people are still complaining.

I agree that the imperative for Bruce was to stabilise a club that could easily have tailspun into chaos.
However, he came in with a self-proclaimed record of gaining promotion from the 2nd tier and this is what has driven people’s expectation of him.
Not surprisingly.

Lambert like. Against Phil Parkinson again too. Why 4 strikers and midfield. How they getting the ball Steve??

Fucking awful week. Awful. And all down to his poor management in my opinion.

Can I get a little melodramatic please and say that I think we're fucked.

If we don't go up via the playoffs (because automatic is absolutely gone now) there'll be an absolute fire sale next year to meet FFP.

We could be down here for a while...

I think he got the starting line up right, and the first sub was the right choice and pretty much the right time, after that was 35 minutes of utter brain fart.

Who we going to sell?

Terry will likely retire.

Johnstone will go be a number 2 at a prem club and fight for a place somewhere.

Chester 10 million ish?

Grealish??

Adomah??
