I think someone is due a good hiding from the Villa.

Aaargh!  WHY do people trot this out?!  It's meaningless, nobody is "due" a good hiding, because we haven't been playing well enough to inflict one!  Sorry, but it's one of those sayings that really annoys me.

29th April 2013. It did happen once.

Bruce v Mccarthy. Anyone making reference to the Beautiful Game may find themselves reported to Trading Standards.

It'll be one for the purists. 5-4 win all over it.

Thanks chaps. North Stand has indeed been cheaper in past, but last few games I've sat in there its been a bit shit (surrounded by overly pissed up / aggressive twats - not conducive to a trip to the game with my nephews).  Needed a few seats together so had to use Pravda, but £30 for a seat in the 'Doug Ellis' seems a bit much when we're playing Ipswich in the second division...

If you're all adults you can get 3 together on Seatwave in Witton Lane Upper for about £51 inc fees.

I think Ipswich are doing about as badly as us over the last month. Must be a Villa win, I hope.

I'm going to be optimistic and go 2-1 Villa.

A team with no confidence in the system they are playing versus a team with a Leicester loanee who is on fire at the moment! Only one winner surely?

must stick with 352 or it'll get even more confusing for the players.  Hopefully Jedinak is back to allow Lansbury and Hourihane to push forward. I'm not going to predict as I keep getting it wrong.

                                           Johnstone
                     Elphick            Chester              Baker
Bree                                     Jedinak                           Amavi/Taylor
                          Lansbury                    Hourihane
                                 Hogan              Kodjia

Wins the best team and formation competition

Bruce v McCarthy can only mean it'll be a turgid 1-1 with both teams trying to have 29% possession...

Agreed with what we have but I actually think Chester has stunk the place out recently

I am hoping that Jedinak is the key to getting our two attacking, goal scoring midfielders going. It will of course help if Bruce plays them in their actual positions!

I was going to say something logical such as a 2-1 home win.. . However,  I think another surprise may be in the bag so....2-4 to Ipswich!

I'm still struggling to understand how 352 can be our best formation with all the attacking players we have at our disposal and a limited supply of centre backs...it doesn't make sense! One injury to either of the 3 centre backs and we're either changing formation, calling upon Richards or asking someone else to play out of position.

The logical formation is 442 and providing service to what could potentially be the best pair of forwards in the Championship.

              Johnstone
Bree   Chester   Baker   Taylor
                Jedinak
Green    Lansbury   Hourihane
           Hogan   Kodjia

The only acceptable outcome in this game is a home win. Forget the team needs to gel, players getting used to a system, each other or whatever.  Just get the win and push on from there.
