We caused all sorts of problems to Leeds once we got it into Gestede. Ok he can't hold it up and bring the midfield into play but he wins more than his fair share in the air.
(I ran out of options for left back...Bacuna could do a job there).

Bacuna has never done a job there.

He's played left back a couple of times and done ok.

Looking forward to going to Cardiff tomorrow. New ground for me. Sitting in home section as Villa away tickets are hard to get. Currently Villa are 5th (play off positions) based on home results only with the same number of points earned as Newcastle (24). We are 15th based on away results only. Our away form in 2017 has got to improve (allied to strong home form) if we are to make at least the playoffs. Hopefully we can continue where we left off at QPR with another win tomorrow. UTV! I'd play McCormack just off Rudy. Hopefully they'll tear their old club a new asshole. Could well by Rudy's last game for the club (if he plays that is).

Thought we might have a slight advantage having not played since Thursday, but typical Cardiff's game on Friday was postponed, so they haven't played since Boxing Day. Still fancy us to win by the odd goal, Ross to get the winner.

I'd go for this but put Westwood in place of the Jedinak lighthouse

Big call. If Jedinak is a lighthouse, Westwood is a siren calling all of our attacking intent to come crashing into the rocks.

Fuck, that's a mid table second division side if I ever saw one. Ayew deserves to be dropped though and options are very limited.

I'd leave the back four as it is, there's no need to change it. I reckon he'll play Jedinak and leave him out of the Spurs game instead and i'd go with Ayew alongside McCormack.
