A win is a win, but that was garbage.

I thought we were decent second half. Baker and kodjia the stand outs for me. Bunn was good.

Burton at home next. Great chance to get closer to the play offs

Strange interview with Rudy translating for Kodjia. How long do you have to live in a country before learning the lingo? I forgive him though.

Hello, Bunn between the sticks, certainly helped.

A win is a win, but that was garbage.

We had half a dozen decent chances, I can't remember one for them.

The first half may have been garbage, but the overall performance wasn't.

Bunn Bacuna Baker and Hutton good, Chester is a given, rest a mixed bag but win on Boxing Day and things look pretty good again. First win there since BFR first season!

A mixture of the terrible and the competent.

Fortunately that seems to be enough to win matches in this league.

You don't need a lot of quality to win games. But you do need a bit of chemistry and we seem so disjointed most of the time. As much as Bruce has said he doesn't want to make wholesale changes he is going to get in a couple more in my opinion outside the 1 or 2 he's already seemingly nailed down. Westwood/Gardner offer very little. Jedinak needs help. A couple of solid midfielders would make the world of difference.

That will do nicely. Still annoyed that Flabby and Westwood got a game. Bacuna instead of Westwood in future please Mr Bruce, at least until we hopefully get an upgrade on both in January

Probably the most complete centre forward display by a Villa man since Benteke.

Why on earth Bruce starts him on the left every game I don't know.

All of the back four were excellent today.

Bacuna gives us that bit more energy and hard work. Don't like him left mid though.

Good to see kodjia playing better at centre forward again today. Would rather he played there

Hardly convincing, but a much needed win.  Positives were Chester and Baker looked a solid partnership again and Kodjia was a threat throughout.  On the downside, we continually gave the ball away again.  We've seen nearly half a season of him now and I think it is becoming clear that Gardner isn't good enough.

If we manage to scrape promotion this season, we will be back down here again the following season with this lot.

Anyone want to guess the last time we could enjoy Christmas having won the previous game?

very relieved that we won to keep in touch with the play off places. We really need to beat Burton and Leeds at home.
