I agree, not sure how Villa got him, but other teams loss and our gain.

In what way are Amavi and Grealish lacking courage as you suggest? As for Chester, I think he is premiership quality, not top 6 or 7 but good enough for the rest IMO. Ayew I don't think wants to be at the club and if that is the case, let him go

Amavi loves jumping over the ball during tackles, don't get the love in for him on here at all. Better than Cissokho isn't much praise. His recovery pace is getting him out of problems at this level that he didnt get away with at a higher level. His supposed attacking threat hasn't been seen at all this season either.

Grealish, think he lacks courage to take the ball in areas of the pitch where you are going to get kicked, to play in the number ten role you have to have that even in the second division.

more professionalism, or lack of, with him off the pitch is why he is at a mid table second division team. That crap for his 21st birthday would have been a sacking offence for another player given his previous. Woeful beyond belief for us last year, Roy Keane for Forest it certainly wasn't.

If Chester was that good why didn't these clubs go for him in the bottom half of the top division in the summer? He is a decent player but a follower not a leader. Diabolical mistake for the Norwich goal, not the greatest positional sense either I've noticed. Why did Pulis keep picking a 35/36 year old Gareth Mcauley over him last year?

Players at our club can't keep blaming everyone else for their shameful performances.

Same for Ayew, why didn't he get a move during the summer to a better club? Ability only takes a player so far.

Bet you're great on a night out.

Comparing Grealish to Keane? Completely different players. How many penalties has he earned so far this season? Average times fouled per game?

Grealish can do better, that's for sure. But there are some things you are overlooking.

Blimey, one loss where Bruce got the tactics and set up wrong and all of a sudden our players are crap...
When your midfield doesn't press, as ours didn't, it just gives Grealish no space, no time and they know he's our play-maker and shut him down time after time. If we'd have given them problems further up the pitch with the midfield, it would have given them another players to worry about and Jack would have had more time and space...
As for Amavi, considering the injury he came back from (and lots underestimate the impact that has on a player, at whatever level), he's just got better and better and will be a class above this season. He won't be with us for long if we don't go up. The better we play, the better he will play.
You could have stuck Aguero up top against Norwich and he'd have been wondering around thinking, where the hell is the midfield and why can't anyone get the ball to me.

Bloke at work reckons we have been linked with Schlupp from Leicester.  Good signing if true.

Depends on the price. I'm sure people were talking £13m in the summer

my Daughter is a teacher at a school in Milton Keynes that he once attended

the 4 house names at the school are taken from former pupils that have done stuff-
Jeff Schupp - football
Andrew Baggaley - Table Tennis
Andrew Choy - Pianist
Stella Akambi - very promising athlete who sadly lost her life

I know Bruce keeps playing down us signing a striker in Jan, however I'd be amazed if he's not looking at a mimum of a loan forward.
Gestede and Ross linked up well at home v Rotherham earlier this season, maybe that could be revisited in the short term until JK gets back?

David Villa on loan in the MLS closed season.

Guaranteed shirt sales if nothing else.

Painfully slow front two though and we don't exactly have speedsters in midfield

Think Bruce will be open to trading at least Gestede and maybe even McCormack in Jan

Just read that apparently Snodgrass is out of contract end of the season.

Paper thought 4m would be enough to tempt Hull to sell him.

I think he'd be an excellent pick up for us....Adomah's pace on the right and his crossing on the left and we might actually start putting a competent midfield out.

He can also still influence prem games so wouldn't just be a signing for the championship.

Similar to Grealish but a bit more productive at this stage of both their careers.

Daniel Johnson
Tom cairney
Houlihane or whatever his name is from Barnsley

Plus definitely a centre back or someone who can play full back and centre  back
