This'll be our Everton 6-2 Bonfire Night moment.  So I'll go with 6-2.

I'd go with;

Gollini, Hutton, Chester, Baker, Amavi at the back.

Gardner, Jedinak and Tshibola in midfield.

If Adomah is out, then Grealish and McCormack floating in behind Kodjia, with the full backs pressed right up, with Gardner and Tshibola hitting to box.

I like Tshibola very much but watching him the other night in the reserves I can see what the coaching staff might see in Training. While He looked very average (except for a great finish to put us ahead) Grealish looked about 6 divisions above Blackburn.

Personally I would pick Tshibola but I can't, for the life of me, understand fans like Marton who seem to have a constant downer on our most talented young player.

We really should be battering (!) the Venky's mob at VP, but I've got a feeling that we might see the same old outcome on Saturday i.e. going ahead & then failing to close the game out successfully (yet again). So I'll go 1-1: after a host of Villa chances go begging.

Here's to my prediction being completely wrong, mind.

UTV

Don't disagree with this overly......however we did a good job at closing out Fulham...

Back 8 picks itself

Kodjia will start so it's then two others

If adomah is out I think I'd play grealish behind McCormack and kodjia. But it will have needed work in training

Firstly I like Bruce and he's got my backing. I am going to look at the negatives in his first four games

Wolves - rubbish. Took the lead and played as bad as I,vE seen a villa side play 2nd half.
Reading - job done, pen late on saved us from again holding onto a lead..... lucky?
Fulham - I thought we were really poor 1st half. Slight improvement in 2nd rescued by some kodija magic...otherwise overall poor.
Blues - hard work done. Should have got the 3 points. Very poor 2nd half.

Again I like Bruce and 4 games is mental to say the above is his fault as our manager.

Will Saturday be different 1-0 or 1-1 ? Or is that hammering gonna at last come!?!? They looked OK against wolves (a lot better then we did)

But I get a degree in the bloody obvious to say if we can't get 3 points at home against this lot then are we really good enough for the play offs?....NO.

A lot of people saying 2-0 routine home win. That was my first thought, but we just don't do routine home wins anymore. It's either scrape 3 points by the skin of our teeth, or bottle it in the last 5 minutes to throw away 2 points.

I'm going for a scraped 2-1 and for the green shoots of recovery to keep on growing.

Traffic alert - if you travel to Villa and pass the Witton Arms, opposite the train station, there are road works there with temporary traffic Lights in each direction.

Onto the game, hopefully a win, and lets hope for a better performance. 2-1

On a similar note there is a replacement bus service on the Cross City Line into New St travelling from the south side.

I think a 3-0 win to the Villa. Bringing my father in law who is a rovers fan. He's tells me 5 first teamers are out & Rovers are very poor. I think he'll have a long afternoon with a couple of hundred other die hard rovers fans!

442 on Saturday please with both Koj and Ges up top.

Don't think we've got the options in central midfield to play two in there to be honest.

I don't see the point in changing an unbeaten formation anyway.
