I was speaking to a Wolves fan on Saturday who was, without any hint of irony, telling me about the Wolves 10 year plan to win the Champions League, and how they're at least two seasons ahead of this, as they got promoted within a season of the new owners taking over when they'd only planned to be promoted within 3 seasons.  He also told me that Nuno was going nowhere because none of the teams above them in the table would employ a black manager and he's got the full backing of the Wolves board.

He then went on to tell me how all Villa fans are deluded and think they're destined to win things!!

You literally couldn't make it up.

It's beyond strange how many of them can talk in these terms of continental domination when it's merely three seasons since they binned Lambert.

I'd be interested to hear them talking in this manner...problem is, despite them being the biggest club in the world, in the past 17 years I've spent living away from England, I haven't met a Wolves fan. (Even in China where apparently everyone now supports them)

I assume our counterparts over at SHA are all over this, yes? Trying to read between the lines, does this mean they've kinda agreed to self-impose a purchase embargo? Perhaps need to sell to buy?

It’s always all about the Villa.

I’m assuming due to our rapid rise our championship losses means we wouldn’t comply with the much stricter UEFA FFP regulations.

It looks like a minor slap on the wrist and get in line in future agreement whilst acknowledging our exceptional circumstances.

Is one way of looking at it.

The other is to laugh your bollocks off at the deluded wankers losing tonight. And what a bellend the X Factor wannabe from the previous page must be feeling now. Form is temporary, ****** are permanent.

They were well beaten last night. Too often, Adama was deep in his own half.

Love the commentary of a Traore run when the commentator gives up using words and starts making car brum noises as he goes through Sevilla.

Funny world, isn't it? They've finished seventh two seasons in a row and they're on course to dominate Europe. When we were doing that twenty years ago we were demonstrating against the chairman.

And Leeds had just finished 3rd and 4th.  I wonder if they went on to sustain that level? :)

Why aren't we like/at least we aren't Leeds.

I see Juventus are in town to take Raúl Jiménez off their hands. Part of the deal will include offloading Alex Sandro, Aaron Ramsey, Merih Demiral or Douglas Costa plus a jumbo size bag of ciccioli.
