Zero shots on goal for them, Bruce has got us us tight as a drum already.

We did not have many either. In truth, it was a dire affair which was lit up by a brilliant goal.

BBC says 16 shots with 7 on target.

If he can keep games tight then we've got loads of the kind of players who can nick a goal out of nothing. It's not going to be like watching Brazil but it's working so far.

Cheers. That's a great finish, so hard to hit those let alone get it on target with pace. Less impressed with the defender adopting the duck and cover position.

It's funny on the radio the way it was described I thought that Adomah's cross was much easier than it was and Kod's finish was much easier than it was. Excellent goal.

Gollini  - not a lot to do but kept defence calm

Hutton - steady
Chester - keep him in natural position and as captain please
Baker - couple of threppny bit headers but overall good
Amavi - so much better outlet than cissokho

Jedinak- probably best game so far but still not seen what all the hype was about
Gardner - though he had a very solid if unspectacular game. Unlucky to stumble when put clean through.
Bacuna- my motm and thought he worked tirelessly for the team. Considering the stick he had last year it says something about the man that has come back the way he has.

Kodjia- ran his balls off and took his deserved goal expertly.
Ayew - usual greatness followed by frustration in equal measure.
Gestede- really like the bloke but not at races today.

Subs

Adomah - great impact and cross for goal
McCormack- offered intelligence
Westwood- did his job, but nearly fucked it up.

Bruce

Intelligence with substitutes and has added steel and organisation and a bit of passion from the side lines.

Let's hope we put the unwashed to the sword and continue to March forward

Is it too early to say Steve Bruce's claret & blue army?

Holte End was singing that at the end.
