Zero shots on goal for them, Bruce has got us us tight as a drum already.

We did not have many either. In truth, it was a dire affair which was lit up by a brilliant goal.

And we will have games like that. We've had too many games this season where we have actually played well, created loads for of chances and fucked it up. A few wins not playing our best is a very good attribute to have. Eventually it will come together and we will have the performance to go with the result.

Got dragged shopping, as the final score popped up a let out a yessssssss and then had to explain myself to my wife. Even she was shocked and replied isn't that 2 in a row now?

Couldn't make it today, but just wondering how Gardner played. I see Steve kept him on for the full 90 mins.

Dynamic performance, kept himself involved all game though some of his decision making was a bit suspect. He broke through and had a great chance to put us ahead at one point but chose to cut back instead of shooting. Must have been a confidence thing.

We look much more solid without Elphick.

I'm starting to think we may not get relegated.

BBC says 16 shots with 7 on target.

Fulham tried to do the same job on us that they've done at every away ground so far this season, to smother, frustrate and nick something. I believe this is their first away defeat this season? It may have been a drab affair, but the fact that we unlocked them should do us the world of good.

But of a dull first half but a great second half and Villa deserved to win by more than they did. Bit of a tense last 10 minutes but never any real danger. Thought Amavi had a great game.

Is it too early to say Steve Bruce's claret & blue army?

Let me correct that for you, we look more solid when we play as a team - let's see what Elphick (and others that have been written off as not good enough), perform when they are called back into the team under the new manager's coaching and match day instructions.

Just got back and am very happy with that.
Fulham flattered to deceive and didn't give any real reason to worry.
Had we won 4-0 it would have have been perfectly fair.

The biggest thing that I can see is that we are organised, more organised than at any time in the last 4 or 5 years.

This organisation makes us look far more solid and we look a bit more assure.
All that panicky shit at the back, that we have witnessed for years is not quite so panicky.

A long way to go, but we are on the right road.
