This was a proper game where we were outbattled and outrun from start to finish. I feared this would happen at the start of the season but so far at least we've been in the majority of games. Not today.

Woeful stuff against a solid team but who will probably finish bottom half. One of their players cost 50 grand aswell in case you didn't know....

I'd have sacked RDM on the spot for playing Jedinak and Westwood. Assumed Tshibola was injured again but to see him warming up at half time...words fail me.

As annoying as he was Pearson pressed from the first minute and Johnson provided the mobility....Jedinak and Westwood didn't want to know and were next to useless as time and again those two ran at our back 4.

Nothing in attack again...barely a shot on target.

You could understand this happening at prem level but for us to be this bad at championship level....I really don't think there should even be any debate about RDM being sacked.

We have two weeks to sort this mess out.

I think you are right, and your first paragraph worries me the most.

Ads has has pointed out on numerous occasions that teams have stood off us early on, afraid of what our firepower on paper might unleash. Grayson had our measure, and most teams will now go for the jugular from the kick-off.

Can we sign an emergency midfielder or two?   Someone out of contract?   Or do we have any decent midfielders in the stiffs or the kids?

Problem is, other than Tshibola, our midfield cant fucking move.

The kids must be shit if none of them are better than Westwood, I'd rather have an empty fag packet drifting around the pitch.

That's actually quite witty albeit at our expense

11 games in.
15 points off top.
4 points off bottom.

fucking hell.

We could be down in the Midland combination if it still exists and probably be nearer the bottom, we are that bad as a club now.

I concur with others....spent a good minute just chuckling out late at that rant by Ads at Westwood. That should've been the last game he plays for the club but he'll be first name on the team sheet v Wolves...don't you worry about that.

I still cannot believe he rested Tshibola today when there is a two week break coming. The excuse is that he has three games in seven days. He only played half a game against Newcastle ffs. His tactics, the way he changes formation so often in games gives me a feeling that RDM isn't in control of things. He has an air of calmness on the surface but seems to be acting in desperation underneath, already. Not a good sign.

And I think Tish is suspended for the Wolves game anyway.

Yes but we will need to appoint Sam or Harry first as our Manager. They both know how to get around rules and sign players.

I can't believe how bad that was, it was just woeful from start to finish. Four strikers on the pitch in the second half smacked of desperation. Jedinak and Westwood put in a midfield performance a Sunday league pair would have been ashamed of.

I was underwhelmed at the appointment of RDM but he was the one Dr Tony wanted and I thought that relationship would work strongly in our favour.
It has become pretty clear to me that although RDM may be a fave of the good Dr's, he has no idea how to select, set up, or direct a team how to play effectively/successfully. He looks calm and confident, but I honestly think he has absolutely no feckin' idea what the feck is going on or how to do anything about it. Proof? Today confirms what many of us feared about some of his other weird and wonderful selections.
He's got respected and experienced coaches looking after a group of proven Championship players...and they are producing shit.

As many others, I'm not one for sacking managers after a bit of a bad run, but RDM seems to have shown that he clearly has the high quality material but absolutely no idea how to use it...aided by Clarke and Bond...apparently "respected" (good?) coaches.

I would go for Hughton, Dean Smith or Rowett...I don't want any of the same old same old names that get trotted out on here ad nauseam....most of whom would see it as an easy pay day provided by a desperate AVFC.

We were easily outplayed by Preston today...easily.
It's broke.
Feckin' kix it Doc!
Please!

Watching the Preston forwards swarming into space around our back four was depressing. Watching us lose every single 50-50 without a fight just as much so.

Di Matteo got the full "You're getting sacked in the morning" treatment, and so he should. He has spent loads of money, ostensibly to build a side which he could do something with, but it's clear that any success he has had has been built by others; he has no idea what to do with the players he has bought. He's absolute shite. When we were under the cosh in the first half, he sat down in the dugout for about 10 mins - no idea what to do. Bracket him with the likes of O'Leary.
