And none of the 3 subs against Everton played against us.
Well, it was a bunch of kids. May have not been the same kids. As Vassilev will only ever have scored against kids, I'm not sure why people seem sure he would have been a better option.Noone is suggesting Kodjia, who has never been as good since his latest injury, was the long-term solution. He is a better option than anyone else we have at present, and shouldn't have been sold until one, or preferably two, forwards were signed. The Qatar transfer deadline is the end of January, same as ours.
Apart from the two most recent matches which you have chosen to ignore because of some Wolvesesque reasoning that they shouldn't count. Presumably the goal was a different size when we played Liverpool. We are clearly not better off with no forward than we are with Kodjia. Absolute nonsense.
What, like Jack Bauer?

Puns aside I don't get how you can suggest he wouldn't be a viable option given the situation we're in. People are suggesting starting Vassilev - an 18-year-old midfielder with no starts under his belt - up front by himself. That's how bad things are. Even a disinterested Kodjia was clearly the best option available to us for tomorrow's game. But nah, we've sold him. More old rope off the books and a few quid in the bank, great.
Quote from: Mellin on January 20, 2020, 02:28:10 PMPossibly. He clearly wasn't ill.On what basis? There seems to be a lot of speculation passed off as fact in this thread. Doesn't seem that unlikely that someone could be ill in January. Half my office have been off in the last couple of months.
