Long-term, it may be best he moves on. Short-term, we don't have much option. I'd be tempted to play some kid, no idea who, up front at Fulham so that Kodj is definitely available for Leicester. That's assuming Wesley is out and we can't recruit too quickly, of course.

Play that Cameron Archer for me over Kod any day of the week
Give him a go he’ll bust his balls for us

I don't think he's ready. Throwing players in too early can destroy their confidence. Still, wouldn't be amazed to see him play for our third string against Fulham's reserves.

Terrible today. That dumb decision not to square to trez left us with our arses out for 20 minutes.

Agree with the comment in the match thread he’s not greedy per se, just a real head down player with no feel for what’s going on around him.
It's why the Championship is his peak level. You need more awareness in the Premiership. It's not just about not being selfish, but like Defoe or Bent at their best, it's knowing what's happening around you and when you can find enough space to get the chance for yourself. It's about seeing Trezeguet and being able to exploit his presence there to get your own chance. Kodjia isn't savvy enough to do that or pick and choose his runs at this level. He can do it at Championship against a mix of young or aging/slow defenders, but not in the Prem.

I wanted him to play but apart from anything else because Wesley looked like a protagonist in some kind of depressing Soviet art house film about the crushing reality of existence.  He needed a break over Crimbo. He looked a different player today though.

Time to buy someone though. Kodjia's had his time. Wesley needs competition and someone he can also learn a bit from too.
Mr Benteke?

Today's appearance merely confirmed my opinion of him.

He’s going to have a significant run of first team games now. He needs to prove himself.

You’ve got to wonder who those wanting Wes to be dropped want to replace him? The injured Davis or this clown?

I'm not really sure why you would write someone off after an half an hour cameo? He scored a hat-trick (or possibly a brace) last time he started.

He made one poor decision and should have crossed. But what were people realistically expecting him to do coming on following a long delay from an injury to Wesley? He wasn’t great but I don’t get why he’s being lambasted by some. We absolutely need to get someone in as Kodjia will only be a short term option. Or two now even.

Press their defence for 20 minutes - Jack did much more than him in that last 20 despite all the running he’s done this month.

At the moment there is noone that we have fit who is better than Kodjia. Wishing that we had a budding Gary Shaw in the youth team doesn't make it so.

He's not worth that.

worst player in the squad
we’d be better off playing Archer, Vaseline, el Ghazi, Trez, Hourihane, Jota up front that’s how bad he is

Very harsh. Watching him 2016/17 was hugely enjoyable, almost on a par with Benteke's first season. He's never fully recovered from the ankle injuries, but that's not his fault.

I thought it was worth trying ElGhazi up front as he's pretty big and a decent finisher.  But we learned last night it's not that straightforward - he couldn't hold anything up and the ball came straight back all night.  Kodjia can hold a ball up and occaisionally create something out of nothing, he's also got a decent finish.  I appreciate that he's not that good and his work ethic isn't acceptable.  But playing anybody up fron other than him isn't likely to be fruitful.

Agree entirely. If he goes, he does so with my best wishes.
