Westwood is a whispered recollection of a footballer.

I was more mobile than him eighteen months ago when I couldn't walk! The word recollection suggests he was once good which I beg to differ.

I don't like it when SKY tell me Fletcher has never scored in something like 13 appearances against the Villa. I reckon he will now get a hat trick.

I reckon there was an idea of a conception of an inkling of a footballer somewhere in Westwood when he was about 11 years old, before he drifted into something less than nothingness. I've seen wisps of belly button lint with more purpose.

For all Ayew's undoubted skill, boy  does he pick the wrong option too often.

I can't help but think I've seen this near total lack of midfield presence somewhere before.

Even an Italian can't build Rome in a day.

He could start by not picking Westwood I suppose.

Not much happening so far by the looks of it.  If we're not careful we will be holding on a bit in this one.  Midfield very underwelming I agree.

Shows the need to get some bite in the middle.  Getting bullied a bit

We need some variety going forward. Nothing wide at all for Gestede so why play him at all. Need the uniqueness of Jack in the second half and a bit of grit from the Tish.

Fletcher off

Darren Anderton and downing would strengthen this midfield

I hope Elphick is okay to carry on. He's been the one who has impressed me thus far. The quality from both sides so far has been a bit poor though. Not finishing top 6, bare minimum would be a travesty.

Bacuna offering no help to Hutton. Gardener looks off the pace already.

Glad I dropped in here to get the real Villa line-up.  Sky's Website have us playing a surprising new signing at #1 Alberto Grassi.   WTF

Glad to learn that it is actually Pierluigi
