Their record for the last 11 league games is W1 D2 L9 failing to score in 8 of them. Pretty sure defender Craig Dawson is their highest scorer in 2017.

Forest Green were in the conference for years before he turned up so they could probably go back to that level (albeit struggling to stay up) if he sells up or whatever.

I think at best they'll establish themselves as a league 2 club with maybe a season or two in league one (similar to what Crawley have done since they came up to league football).

I agree anything beyond that is cuckoo land.

They were saved by other teams going bump at least twice. When they got in the Conference (in about 2000) it was the first time they had ever been in it.

The intention is to use their position to entice fans away from Cheltenham, Gloucester, Worcester, Bromsgrove etc. He is happy to fuck over other clubs so he can fill the gap between Brum and Bristol with M5 Corridor FC.

As opposed to certain clubs who for years who have been happy to fuck over other clubs by enticing any fan with access to the UK's transport infrastructure and a desire to see a regular parade of silverware.  Frankly, that type of fan has already been seduced and I hardly think Forest Green are going to suddenly pose a treat with the promise of chickpea fritters and a midweek visit from Barnet.

The aim is pulling in 15-20k fans in The Championship. Why would a youngster regularly go to watch Cheltenham yo yo between League 2 and conference if they could follow FGR down the road playing teams like Villa?

The placement of the Vegan Bowl right next to a motorway junction is no coincidence.

Just checking where Albion are on the Pulis is God/Pulis is Satan swingometer at the moment. They haven't won for ages.

The peasants are revolting. A bit. But they are in the league above us so don't want to revolt too much.

That's the Vegan Bowl with a capacity of 5k - rising to 10k according to how successful they are?

Where are the 5000 coming from? The 10k? And they can't make it bigger if successful given where it is being built? Stroud Town are shite. Just accept it!

It will be another building  site  within 10 years.  Luxury apartments.  Even when you have everything included  like MK Dons there would be an argument that you would struggle.  Maidstone, Kidderminster, Rushden & Diamonds, Dagenham & Redbridge the list is endless.

Forest Green got smaller crowds last season than Kiddy who are a level lower, even Bromsgrove who were 5 levels lower had a couple of bigger league crowds, and that's with no away fans ever turning up at the Vic, on a really good day there may be a dozen including family of the opposition players. Meanwhile FGR were having a number of away sides bring about 800. I think it's a bit early to think 10-20K are suddenly going to support them anytime soon.

I'm remembering the stick he used to get for those 'Hollywood' passes as a young player with us. Seems he has been practising.
