Mr Lambert first post match comments.

"I'm happy but I felt we played well, we gave as good as we got. there are lots of plusses and I was delighted with them.

Cardiff have come alive under Warnock.  Another test for us next week. We need to win a few games on the bounce. Still 6 points behind the noses despite a good run under Bruce

I wish Brucie had been manager from the start of this season. I reckon we'd be top four easily by now. Proves how useless Di Matteo was, a lot of damage was done in the first 11 games - this is hampering us now.

3 extra wins instead of all those draws in the first 11 games and we'd be 5th instead of 16th. That's how much RDM cost us.

What a very good player Defoe has been over the years. If only Lisa Smith's story about him being at Bodymoor Heath to sign for us way back when was true.

Watching the Leeds vs Newcastle. Leeds look shit too, the way we are playing I can't see any reason why we shouldn't catch the teams in the top 6....apart from Newcastle.

Quite enjoying this match, good atmosphere and Newcastle are far superior to Leeds. A Newcastle win is best result, not seen anything to suggest they won't win the league quite comfortably so be best if other teams drop points against them.

Reports that both clubs have honoured G Speed.  A nice touch.

Yes exactly what I was thinking watching this as well.  Also agree that Keenan Clerk looks assured at the back, as Baker has done for us recently.
