Against the run of play. Shoulda had 2 handball pens. Overhyped media faves to win the league with ease. £50m transfer fund. FSB manager. 0-1. May as well agree now Villa are already promoted.

Toon bottom of the league, yes I know it's only one game.

The injustice meter is off the scale now for Newcastle.

One minute to go.

I love it. Not only have they lost, they are going to be moaning about it for the whole weekend. Let's hope the Villa rub their noses in it on Sunday.

Can we pop back to Fulham for their right back?

That was a tremendous performance by Fulham to be fair.  And maybe Olllllllllllllly will stop literally wanking himself off on the Touchline now.

So, they will only go up with 135 points now.

Great game for Villa to watch, in order to get a sense of the division. Fulham played it very tight and the Jawdies got no space at all.
I hope that we are equipped for this.

Think it shows straight away how competitive a division it is.

Not a lot of cutting edge in that Newcastle team is there? Not much fight in the middle of the park either.

They'll improve though.

Good result for us

But the stuff I saw does show how competitive this league will be. I still think we're in for a really tough game on Sunday. I'd be happy w a draw while we get better players in and acclimatised

An eye opener as to how difficult this league will be.  Newcastle found that Fulham raised there game, like others will do against them.  The same thing will happen when we play these sides.

It does bemuse me when we get stick for not getting a Brit in, yet it doesnt seem to apply to Benitez - lets be fair, he had a decent number of games to drag Newcastle out of trouble last season and couldnt do it.

The way some people are talking, the man with his little chisel had already punched Newcastle United into the trophy for this season.
