Scores as they stand show that we've really, really got to put a decent run together, starting tomorrow.  As things stand, a win only takes us to the giddy heights of 13th.

That means they will have to go on all out attack. That will upset Mr Pulis a lot!

He can send one of his 8 centre halves up front.

We certainly do need to start a good run now. Looking at our fixtures we probably 3 or 4 wins from the next 5.

The season does have to start here. 6 points from 6 must be the expectation over our next two home games. Not sure where that will see is but it must be a lot higher than now

no easy games in this league either - Brentford have seen of the much fancied Brighton so our next home game after tomorrow isn't going to be a stroll

I think now August is over, silly season goes with it. Good teams start winning and the ones that are over-reaching start to run out of puff. Starting tomorrow, we'll see if this Aston Villa has what it takes.

I'm posting here as well as you don't get to say this very often. On my way back after watching Bromsgrove win 13-0 in the FA Vase. Including a hat trick for Brain, 3 pens scored against 3 different keepers. That can't happen very often!

Huddersfield top of the league, City beat United (did  anyone spot the half and half scarves), Arsenal get their obligatory penalty, Brentford winning a bit of a shock, Coventry diving  down to the 4th Division (play up sky blues), Salford City lose about time as do FC United and Tranmere.

Spotted a prat in Worcester the other day wearing a City kit. He could be a neurosurgeon but to me he would be first and foremost an idiot.

Just watching the goals on soccer Saturday.  Good start from the Noses, 3rd!  Looks like lots of their fans in that end we always fill went dressed as black seats.

Not that fussed. Newcastle definitely getting one of the two promotion places so probably best that they beat the other contenders
