Maybe his ADSL filter has dries up?

Did you read the comments section?

Has there ever been a series of comments on the Internet that have been universally nice and positive?

He certainly seems popular on the south coast.

Hope he's as good as what they say. They seem to like us as well.

The last player that arrived with as many plaudits from his previous supporters was Habib Beye.

They had a great song for him as well.

Now there's a sobering (frightening) thought.

Hopefully, the first of several clever signings. Good start to the business. Allows us to ditch any one of Baker or Lescott now too. Sharp signing from Villa.

Not when you remember that the Derry MoN signing an attacking full back was never going to end well given his penchant for playing central defenders in that position.

Confirmed on the Bournemouth website. That's how they do things in the PL. *sigh* I'm sure ours will catch up tomorrow.

Happy with this, has his own gif on the official twitter so it's definitely completed.

Good start to get a proper captain in early.

OS:

Aston Villa Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Tommy Elphick.

The 28-year-old defender has signed a three-year deal with the Club and joins from English Premier League side AFC Bournemouth for an undisclosed fee.

Elphick becomes manager Roberto Di Matteo’s first signing and the first player purchased since owner Dr Tony Xia bought the Club.

Manager Roberto Di Matteo said: “I'm really pleased to bring Tommy to the football Club.

“He is a fantastic player and also a fantastic character which is very important.

"He knows what is required to win promotion to the Premier League from the Championship and that experience will be invaluable.”
