He gets a clean slate from me. A fresh start under a new manager may be just what he needs.

Needs must. He can play next two and we'll see how he looks in our set up.

Would expect a new CB in for Wigan away but we all know trying to sign players in January can easily drag.

Bree played well today.

He can go to Right back for next game seeing as that was his actual position at Barnsley.

Don't mind AEM but he's been shocking the last month and needs to be taken out of the team for his own good for a while.

Considering he was getting slaughtered on here for mistakes that don't even register in the top10 fuck-ups his colleagues have managed without him this season, then i don't see a problem. Worse that can happen is he will be crap. Nowt to lose.

He is no Paul McGrath and is more comparable to the likes of Steve Foster but offers us some much needed cover until we get an adequate replacement in

Hull have been wicked these last few weeks and he's been part of it so cut the fella some slack. I'd rather him than an auld, out of practice James Collins.

If he is crap, we will lose. That is the problem.

I don't think Smith is viewing him as a long term option and hopefully we will buy someone in the next month. However he deserves a chance under smith to prove his worth especially considering the performance of other members of the defence given the same chance. There's a chance our new Manager's style of play may suit him better as Bruce never fancied him but really Elphick playing crap as opposed to another playing crap? Worth the risk i  think.

Elphick plays right side though so it still leaves Chester as left sided centre back.
