Was captain of a Bournemouth side that lost against essentially a managerless Aston Villa in the FA Cup at Villa Park where the home side never wins.

Welcome Tommy.

You've already shown more commitment than either Micah or Joleon ever have for us.

I'm looking forward to actually liking our players again.

The first part of the revolution.

surely we have to question his marital ability after leaving his wife in the lurch on their honeymoon ????

Strange for me, I have watched Elphick loads when he was at Brighton. He was great for them, but that was in league one. I could not have envisaged a circumstance where I would ever have considered him a good signing for Villa.

But here we are. I think he will be just what we need, he is a championship level Martin Laursen.

It's only a matter of time Chris. It will be something like his last name having two syllables or how it should be spelt Elfick, or that he doesn't trust that Bournemouth will ever get paid real money and that the deal will collapse. Something like that.

I wonder what he meant by that?

I like the cut of his jib though. Think he'll be a good player for us.
