8 players released
« on: June 11, 2016, 01:20:52 AM »
Happy no more Charles N'Zogbia day!

Disappointed we never saw more of Donacien, I quite liked what little I saw of him. Good luck to all the youngsters released. No ill will towards Richardson, just not good enough, not his fault. As for Zog, I have tried but can’t seem to come up with a comment that reflects terribly well on me.

Players released by the club
Charles N'Zogbia
Kieron Richardson
Charlie Bannister
Janoi Donacien
Lewis Kinsella
Kodi Lyons-Foster
Benjamin Siegrist
Joshua Webb

It's eye watering the money he has drained from the club.

Who has made the decision to release these players I wonder? You'd think the new management would want to take a look at some of them e.g Kinsella and Donacien before sanctioning their release?

Paddy Riley?
Disappointed that Donacien is going. I have rated him whenever I he seen him play.

Break out the bunting, N'Zogbia is no longer our problem.

I reckon Riley will be gone next week once the deal is finalized. There's been talk of a new technical director or something like that. He's in borrowed time.

The epitome of our plight over the past five years.  Good riddance!!

Yes, if the history of our post O'Neill fall is ever written, a good title would be The N'Zogbia Years.

For the worst five year stretch in our recent history, Charles can say "I was there".

I regard him as walking proof of the need to incorporate psychological evaluation in the fitness tests of incoming players.  Every muscle, bone, ligament, sinew and corpuscle of them is examined in the most minute detail but nobody ever thinks to assess their brain.

To be fair there was plenty of evidence in N'Zogbia's case he had an appalling attitude. Irrational optimism inevitably kicks in with new players (and managers and owners come to think of it) and you think maybe it will be different for us.

I'm sure more players will be out the door soon.

Excellent idea, Brian. In the five years he robbed a living at Villa Park and I never saw him smile once.
