What was that keep off the pitch thing all about?
Next match there will be a sign saying "No ball games".

I enjoyed myself down Bromsgrove. Such a weird feeling actually enjoying watching a game. Most damning thing of all is not once today did I wish I was at the Villa.

There was another weird moment on the screens at half time.  Usually they cut to Sky Sports but instead they showed a cleaner putting paper planes into a black bag.  Also they weren't quick enough to cut away from the shot of a plane in the dugout - that warmed my spirits.

Another awful afternoon.  I really don't know what Black is thinking and as others have said, he is making things worse with his ridiculous team selections.  I would like to congratulate the Protest Group.  Great effort to get the leaflets together and distributed.  If only those on the playing staff had the same kind of committment.

I assume that's the slogan we use to start our training sessions.

Black can fuck off, and when he gets there, he can fuck off some more.
Then he should come back, pick up Lescott, Richards, Guzan, Agbonlahor, Bacuna, Richardson, Sinclair, Gana, Sanchez, and Okore, and then fuck off with the lot of them.

I like that Tony.

Then at the end they can change it to.

 "No balls".

Eric Black on WM.
"the supporters pay their money, they're entitled to their opinion.
"I made my decisions based on 35 years of experience in the game".
Fuck off with the rest of them, you patronising wanker.

Black can fuck off, I don't want to hear from him again.

With the warnings about pitch invasions  on the screen...surely it proves the Club read the forums.

That was one of the weirdest atmospheres I have ever been in.
I want more of it against Newcastle.

I found giving dog's abuse to Lescott and Guzan rather cathartic today.

All-in-all probably as enjoyable day as I've had at Villa Park this season.

Fair play to you. They fully deserve it. Glad it helped.

I thought it was a gritty and resilient performance under very difficult circumstances, well co-ordinated, and full of dignity.  Not the fucking players, the poisonous wastes of oxygen, but the fans.

This season has become less and less about the football (for obvious reasons), and more about witnessing how the fans spirits won't be broken by the complete fuck-wittery on and off the pitch.  Long after the stain of Lerner and this current team has been purged from B6,  these fans will still be there showing what loyalty and dedication truely means.

Hear hear!

Thank goodness the weight is lifted off the players' shoulders, as I can't even imagine how much more soundly we'd have been thrashed had they still been cowed by the weight of expectation.

I think what Lescott meant was the lifting of the weight off the players' shoulders of the deception of them trying to keep us up.

It's five minutes to go till half-time and we're two-nil down.  The three pints of Titanic's Plum Porter I had pre-game are biting me in the bladder. I have to go for a piss.  I'm mid-waz when I hear....not so much a roar but more of a happy whimper. I knew we'd scored - I'm in P8 right by the Saints fans and if it had been them it would have been much louder! I only saw the second goal.  Of course I saw is gift Saints four other fuckers though.  Fucking Bacuna - that backpass was almost Hodgesque!  >:(

I don't know what was funnier today, the paper planes or the announcement that there was 29000 there...a good job Southampton didn't get out of 2nd gear, it could have been embarrassing.
