Back in the day Villa Park was considered as now as being one of the very  best. 

The atmosphere for big games was second to none.  It would have been around the time of the clip that the second fait faulte was completed  - the erection of the dividing fence in the holte.

The Witton End rebuilt (North Stand) would have been great in my eyes if only they had allowed for more space  downstairs.  I think the theme  was to make  it a little like the scoreboard end at old trafford.

Despite the shabby look of the Witton Lane stand it was still the favourite of many season ticket holders not a bad view of the pitch.

Despite having been a regular for some 4 years at Villa Park at the time of the film I had never sat in the Trinity Road side of the pitch so cannot comment.

I reckon that's more like mid to late 1980s. The electronic scoreboard wasn't in place until 1981 and the rollers on Trinity Road didn't have advertising such as Mita until 1984.

Makes me cry to seem them covered up. Jan 1984 they were first butchered.

Between 84 and 87 and SGT's arrival. Freight Rover ad on the Wittin roof say they are sponsors of the Freight Rover trophy which the did from 84-87. SGT made doug take the advertising off the Trinity.
