Doug looked a forlorn figure yesterday.A sad end to his Aston Villa years, no matter how bad some of his decisions and penny pinching were, he doesn't deserve this.

I saw him get out of his Rolls on Tuesday, which took him an age. I'm surprised he still does away matches.

Indeed, for all his 'faults' he is a fan.
I wonder if Randy knows about Dougs commitment ?

Good to see Flabby called out on MOTD last night. Neville had him right at the Spurs away game pointing out that Flabby had touched the ball 8 times - including 2 kick-offs. Now he's been exposed on national TV as a lazy, fat slug with no professional pride, not even going through the motions. Happy to pick up his money for doing fuck all and probably undermining the manager in the process. God knows how we'll shift this slob onto someone else

I long for the day that Abgonlahor gets shown the door. He's a parasite.

Every single supporter that shells out from their own pocket gets my sympathy before him.

An earlier post mentioned the only solution is a change of owner. It would help but first on the agenda has to be the clearing of the decks of those that are masquerading as footballers in the Villa squad.

We have to take relegation as an opportunity to start again and get it right so that we do not end up in this situation again. Quick fixes to satisfy impatience is not the way to go. A methodical rebuilding of a balanced squad is the only solution.

I would rather see us spending a bit less on transfers and use it to get rid of the wasters in the squad.

I don't think it's fair to describe Gabby in the same way as you'd describe normal people and their attributes and motivations.

I think that if you were somehow able to get into Gabby's head it would be like looking down the wrong end of a really big telescope. He is so dumb, he is only a conscious being in the sense that dogs or monkeys are.

One more game away without a win and we equal another club record. 15 away games without Victory. Very soon we shall run out of records.

Worst team in our history.

I assume that is since football was invented by Sky as we went an entire 42 game season without winning away when we came up in '75 I think

Not much animation when we left the pitch. In fact they were more bothered swapping shirts and fist pumping.Disgrace.

I actually think our only chance of pulling off some results is dumping out every sack of piss player we have, which is a lot of them and putting kids in. At least they'll provide a bit of energy and thrive at the opportunity given to them. Our youth and reserve sides have been pretty decent over the years, so we might as well play a few of them now that we're all but down.

not sure why we just cant sack a lot of those cruds "by mutual consent"

take the fourth goal for example, Cissokho fails to block cross, both Lescott and Richards pull out of attempting to block the cross, Hutton has no idea where Sterling is.

We have 10 players inside or on the edge of our box, City have three and walk the ball into the net.

For their third goal, four of our players are done by a simple flick over the top by Silva, not one tracks the run by Aguero. Lescott half heartedly comes across, Guzan beaten easily at his near post.

genuinely shameful efforts from players with Villa shirts on
