Sinclair or Gabby up front? Do me a favour...

0-1 or 0-2 Loss.
I'm clinging on to the hope that Gabby performs like he did against Norwich a few seasons back. He absolutely destroyed them.
That said he was probably a stone lighter and several yards quicker back then, so I won't hold my breath too long.

This is absolutely win or bust. It might not be mathematical yet, but this game really, abso-fucking-lutely is the last ruddy glimmer of a chance that we have. Win and we gain ground on Norwich and get them within squinting sight. Lose and it's game over and a draw leaves a 10 point gap which beyond this weekend is definitely too much. A 7 point gap though? We can still bridge that (maybe...).

We could just do without gifting an early goal or having a stupid sending off. We could do with getting a shitting penalty decision actually go our way.

Villa 1 v 3 Norwich.

Agbonlahor for Villa, finger to mouth goal celebration to firmly answer his critics. This will guarantee him starting every game from now to the end of the season. He will finish the season on no goals as his goal will be ruled as an own goal as his shot was heading for a throw in until it hit the backside of a Norwich defender.

At least if we lost it makes Newcastles and Sunderlands chances of escaping very much harder.

(He says, clutching at any silver linings he can in this horrible season).

Only a month until Gabby's one year goal anniversary.

Ever the optimist, I've gone for a draw (0-0), but it wouldn't come as a major shock if a calamitous moment handed them the game at t'end. Hopefully the faithful will give The Board the full gun throughout; & resist the temptation to hammer the hapless individuals on the park.

Just to rub it in

Aston Villa 0 Norwich City 1 (Naismith '93)

Come and have a look at what you could have won...

I'm not even thinking about staying up any more - I just want to have something to cheer.

We now have the country's former top banker on board?

If Sinclair and Grealish don't start, the League goals tally this season from players likely to be on the pitch, will amount to the princely sum of 4.

Gil 2
Lescott 1
Richards 1

I would like to start with O Goals playing as well as he has a couple.

So it's likely to be:

Us 0 Them X

where X >= 0

So often major things can turn on just one game - just look at what happened to us and Leicester after we lost a 2-0 lead there in September - as said above a win takes us to within 7 points of Norwich and would give us some momentum.  Massive favour done by Everton last night to keep Newcastle in our sights - our season just has to have "lift-off" this weekend - 2-0 Villa.

Lescott has two doesn't he? Or was the Palace one put down as an own goal in the end?

Looking at the seat selector on the website, I'm staggered how many people are going to it.

Perhaps so many see it as the "mother of all MUST WIN GAMES"
