Met Dave at a number of games, mostly away, we dragged a drunk local who stumbled out of a Prague bar, post match, back in and plied him with drink. Didn't know him that well but very sad to see this story today.

Surprised there hasn't been more posts here.

Dave was a very well known face at Villa Park & away games throughout the last 25+ yrs , as well as an England regular.
Genuinely a really nice bloke & very well liked.

RIP Dave , you'll be sadly missed

I sat next to Dave for about 3 or 4 seasons from 2010 some absolutely legendary moaning about refs and our right and left backs over that time. Nice fella, RIP.

I sat next to Dave from 1996 up until his passing.

His funeral was today and I miss him terribly.

RIP mate, Dave.

It was indeed England's Dave funeral today. Sir Graham Taylor even turned up. What a fantastic mark of respect.
