Very disheartening watching that performance last night. Bell batted well but his captaincy was awful, bowling first in those conditions and constantly bringing the useless OHD back despite him going for a boundary with the first ball EVERY time he returned, meanwhile Clarke who only bowled 1 bad over was left with a spare over unused.

Our batting line-up contains too many bits and pieces players, Javid, Evans, etc. just cannot be relied on.

Time to get some proper cricketers back in the side; Ambrose, Trott, maybe Chopra even though he's leaving. Also Wright and Rankin when they are fit are a better option than OHD, or part-time options like Javid and Poysden.

OHD has been woeful recently and he is a poor fielder to boot.  Not really sure why went for the overseas option of a wicketkeeper when there are other areas in much more need of some added quality.  If Evans isn't firing, the batting lacks a dynamic edge and especially now Rankin is out, our bowling attack is missing a bit of zip.

Big game at Edgbaston on Friday now.

I think OHD has managed to turn his major advantage in this format into its opposite; that is, his chest on action allows him to react very late on to the batsman's movement. They have all cottoned on now though, and they are double and triple shuffling. The first ball of his first three overs went for 4 the other night, apparently, which is not what you need.

I worry about the Barker's  inclusion in this format on the grounds that he has had severe problems with his rhythm/action in the CC in the past and I can't see this helping much.

First ball of all 4 overs, it really was farcical that Bell kept bringing him back on for 1 over spells when it was clear the batsmen had him worked out.

I didn't know that about Barker, not worth sacrificing his County Championship consistency for the benefit of us getting 4 overs out of him in a few T20s. Let's hope he continues with the great season he's been having.

The performance by the Bears in recent games has been poor and collapses of the kind seen in the last week are unacceptable.

The bowlers have been getting some stick and rightly so. The thing is, T20 is so weighted in favour of the batsmen that it's not uncommon for even the best bowlers to be carted all around the park. As a result I think our batsmen should shoulder the lions share of the blame. Chasing 200 should be possible against a county attack.

I also think that they don't want to play Ambrose in T20 to prolong his 4 day career. The fact that they recruited two keepers for the T20 suggests this. Barker, Rankin, Trott and Ambrose should be preserved for the county championship and fringe players used in T20 to give them experience.

Watching Durham at Yorkshire last night was like watching the Bears of late.Durham were poor but at least unlike the Bears they just did'nt give up and at least managed to see their overs out and try to improve their net run rate which could be a big factor

Chopra should be playing as an opener in the T20, move Bell to 3. No brainer really. But Brown has other ideas....

I'm beginning to think Brown has no idea. Along the lines of Villa managers in the past 5 years.

Notts squad for tonight looks very strong compared to ours:

•Ian Bell (Captain)
•Keith Barker
•Rikki Clarke
•Laurie Evans
•Recordo Gordon
•Sam Hain
•Oliver Hannon-Dalby
•Ateeq Javid
•Matt Lamb
•Jeetan Patel
•William Porterfield
•Josh Poysden
•Aaron Thomason
•Matthew Wade (Wicket-Keeper)

Porterfield added along with another youngster, a 'lamb' to the slaughter if you'll excuse the pun.

Please, please leave out OHD tonight Dougie Brown.

Disappointing to see only one change from the other night. Porterfield replaces surprise surprise Poysden .No Trott ,Chopra or Wright again and somehow the abysmal OHD plays again .Can see another thrashing on the cards

Brown is hopeless. Experienced players to choose from, and he sticks with OHD, who can't bowl or bat! Well done Dougie!

Notts started well but two wickets in three balls from Barker will peg then back a bit.
