Like everyone concerned, utterly delighted.

Cannot single a player out for special mention, each of them deserve equal praise. Very very pleased for Remi, who looks a thoroughly decent fella. He deserves this and I hope he can instill some belief into the team. Winning is a wonderful feeling. What the hell, let's give it a go and we will see.

Thanks Villa, you've made my night X

Pfff, all these Ayew bandwagon jumpers.  Look what this guy wrote second game of the season vs ManUre:

Ayew looks like he has something about him, if only we can find a way to unleash him properly.

I really like Ayew and Veretout, but i think Gana playing as a defensive midfielder, and playing with much more energy and mobility than previous incumbents, made all the difference tonight. He pressed the Palace players really quickly, and effectively.

We played some nice football tonight, i believe we played the way RG wants us to, and as my learned friend Nii Lamptey said earlier, it would be nice if RG gets opportunities to improve the team this transfer window.

Don't think its any coincedence that Richards is out the team, and we look more solid defensively .
Richards is too much of a liability positionally. At best he can come back in at right back if Bacuna doesn't keep this level up. History says he won't, but I hope he can keep it up. He was excellent tonight and I say that as someone who has found Leo incredibly annoying of late.

Just about to post that.  He said we worked hard, didn't give them much and deserved to win.

Let's go fecking mental! Fantastic win, Palace are no mugs, there are much worse teams than them but we thought for everything, no major balls up, chased things down and got that touch of luck for once, I'm so happy, it's been a long time waiting for this win everyone enjoy it.

Does the escape begin in ernest? Come on.

I hope Jack reacts in the right way when he gets his chance on the pitch. We need to see how much he cares where it matters. Gil showed a hell of a lot of workrate today. They're effectively fighting for the same position. Gil set the bar tonight. That's the sort of shift you put in, even if it doesn't necessarily come off as for as the finesse parts go.

victory that owed much to our heart and of course a nice bit of luck for a change

thought our much maligned full backs were very solid, Lescott first minute aside led the defence very well. Gueye had his best game in months while Veretout and Ayew continue to show their class. Still had to rely on their keeper literally throwing in one for us tonight. Urgently need to get a better forward in. Thought for about ten mins after we went ahead that our heads went and we kept giving them back the ball. Settled after that and would have been great if Ayew had stuck that one away.

Huge victory for Garde. He has called them all out, board, players, everyone, dropped senior players the lot. He deserved the luck we got today.

Thought Palace were very average, as are most teams in the EPL when you really look at it. Wickham, Saha, Sako, Chamakh - awful each and every one

Bunn 6, Bacuna 7, Okore 5, Lescott 7, Cissokho 7, Veretout 7, Gueye 8, Westwood 6, Gil 5, Ayew 7, Kozak 6.

And therein lies a big source of frustration - the league is decidedly average this year, perhaps more so than ever, with some not very good teams such as Palace, West Ham and, let's face it in reality, Leicester flying very high.

Goal of the season.

Pardew very complimentary on sky. Said we got stuck in.

Very good result given their away record
