Something to build on. Two games unbeaten!! Be great to bring in a player before the weekend. Good win but a long way to go. With that sort of fight, who knows what might happen?

Just realised Villa have won for the first time since my 3rd Daughter was born...she is 4 months old!!

Congratulations Wirral! Do you remember when we hit Sherlock Street a few years ago?

Brilliant feeling. Whole team played well. Still think Kozak is a donkey, but seems to get into scoring positions!

WTF, He headed on, held the ball up, chased the defenders and put a shift in when defending.

A thoroughly deserved win, well done Villa. We won not through any kind of technical ability but via wanting to win more than Palace, we worked harder than them.

Pretty embarrassed by the players throwing shirts into the Holte at the end. You've just done the bare minimum you twats.

Hearing my long suffering season ticket holder son on the phone walking away from VP was so brilliant, feeling so happy for him, for myself, for all of us.
Fans at VP tonight were magnificent. The board and players need to realise that. It was fantastic to walk away with happy supporters specially the youngsters with their smiles.

Just heard Pardew, very complimentary towards us.

Just about to post that.  He said we worked hard, didn't give them much and deserved to win.

There was a moment, just seen now on Sky, in the second half where Zaha was proving difficult to dispossess right by our corner flag, and who was it who legged it back and took it off him? Kozak.

Much, much better work rate and fight all around tonight.

To be fair, we would all have accepted 11 donkeys on the team sheet (instead of our usual squad) before tonight's kick-off. So we can let Kozak off tonight, can't we?

Cissokho, Okore, Veretout, Gil, Kozak, Ayew... It would be interesting to know where we would be if these guys had been given a proper chance at the start of the season, I count 10 starts between them in the 11 games Sherwood was in charge.

Pfff, all these Ayew bandwagon jumpers.  Look what this guy wrote second game of the season vs ManUre:

Ayew looks like he has something about him, if only we can find a way to unleash him properly.

Bid of 12 million accepted for striker Jordan Ayew from Lorient according to SSN breaking news

If that's true then I for one am excited to see him come here. If you read around a few sites he is widely regarded as the better of the two brothers.
The only concern I have is if Adebayor signs also, then we have potentially 3 players going to the African Cup.

Not ideal.

from a Palace forum:

Villa were playing for their lives and it showed. They were good.

I think it's the first time we've been described as being 'good' this season.

As much as the players deserve the pelters given, there was a great feeling of solidarity tonight. Good atmosphere.

Can't wait for our next league win in May.
Christ, just enjoy the fact that we've won for a change.  No one (well almost no one) is saying corner turned and we're staying up but.....

They played with desire, commitment, belief and with a decent level of skill at times. In addition it looked like they played to a plan they understood, believed in and trusted their team mates to deliver their part of the plan. Something that's been missing since Southampton away last season.

Yes!

I was worried when Ayew missed an excellent opportunity that he fashioned himself at the end that we would concede at the death but we held on very well.

Lino should have put his flag up near the death, two Palace players were off for their late chance that he failed to control.

We're probably still going down but lets get some pride and momentum about the place and see where it takes us.
