that line up has a hint of playing to the Holte End gallery to it

no way should Bacuna be in for Richards, Id have Clark ahead of Lescott too

Guzan, Just Head and eclair can have no complaints

Apparently Richards isn't fully fit and I'd have said Lescott or Clark was 50/50. Clark alongside Okore last season looked better than Okore and Lescott this season, but Clark's been a total car crash for most of this season.

I think that he's picked the back 5 based on fitness and form which is why Guzan is the big news. The only mystery is where's McCafu?

Mind you all 3 fullbacks are poor defensively and at least Bacuna has the potential to put over the odd decent cross.

Still some baffling choices. Bacuna at RB instead of Richards? And fucking Lescott? Hmm...

However, some positive changes are made.

Quite a balanced side I think. Glad Libor is back in. That said I'd take Bacuna and Westwood out and replace them with kids. But I do think that front 3 is the best we could possibly put out, so who knows, we might actually be trying to win this fucker.

I'm with you Tom - especially the "take Bacuna and Westwood out" bit! I actually think we could cause them a few problems tonight (shock horror). Fingers crossed eh? UTV.

I just want a Villa ghost to whisper in Libor's ear. Here is your chance to show them. Go for it big fella.

Wasn't Richards doubtful for the game? That can be my only thought on that one.
As for Lescott I am stumped but then again...in the last few weeks he's probably been the only defender to put in close to a competent performance aside from Okore, so it (I guess??) makes sense to partner them up again.
But he's a fuck trumpet so I'd rather he was dropped. Even for a hideously out of form Clarke (who I will now give the additional E out of spite for his constant ricks).

Great news that Libor is finally getting a chance.... alongside Ayew too!

However this news is massively soured by the fact that both Bacuna and Westwood retain their places. How the fuck do they do it every week. What are villa managers seeing that 99% of the fans can't see?! Baffling!

I just want Gil or Ayew to deliver a half decent cross. I'd fancy Libor to the rest.
And if Libor can't get himself fired up for this game. At home. A chance to show the manager he's the main man. Then Libor has to go. He's playing for his Villa career tonight because he currently appears to be on the outgoing list.

I don't mind Bacuna he's not brilliant obviously, but he gets unfair stick on here lumped in with Gestede, Richardson and Westwood

What a pleasant change to see a wave of positivity sweep through the match thread.

Give us a good game Villa, the rest will take care of itself.
