I'd go; Guzan, Crespo, Okore, Clark, Cissokho; Westwood, Gardner, Grealish; Gil, Ayew, Kozak. Assuming all fit, of course.

2-1 loss.

1-1 with seven minutes to go, you know the rest...

'Sounds about right - followed by some kind of statement from VP that it gives us the opportunity to concentrate fully on our ongoing Premier League campaign.

A statement from Villa Park?
Don't be silly.

Ideally, my team would be:

GK - Someone decent who doesn't currently play for us
RB - Someone decent who doesn't currently play for us
LB - Someone decent who doesn't currently play for us
CB - Someone decent who doesn't currently play for us...

Fuck it, you get the picture.

Bunn (Kalinic?)

Richards
Okore
Lescott
Cissokho

Westwood
Gana
Veretout

Sinclair
Kozak
Ayew

Would rather have Sanchez and Traore in for Westwood and Sinclair but both injury doubts.

Will be good chance for the team to get use to playing (atm) a lower league team that can smell (watered down, claret ) blood.

Still think we'll win though. Yep, ever the optimist.

Will be close though, playing on their pitch. 2-1 to us after going behind.

Villa win. I'm more interested in trying to gain a confidence boost for the players than getting through to the next round of the cup to be honest.

yes, get a Win, even though its not for 3 points, it might remind the players what one is.

And get drawn in the next round to team that most teams would lose to ie Spurs.

If Sanchez and Traore are both out, I would go with that side.  Not that it would make much difference, but the only change I would make would be to go with Gestede instead of Kozak, as the latter surely cannot be anywhere near being match fit.

Everyone I've spoken to tells me it will take ages to get to and from the ground. How far is it from civilisation? pubs?

About a 50 min walk from the station evidently.

Their first choice goalkeeper has had his appeal against suspension denied, and he will miss the game.

They could probably play without a keeper and still win 2-1.

The right back I'd choose already does play for us. Mica Richards. The other defenders also Guzan can fuck right off.

Let's offer to play them with rush back goalies. We might have a chance of winning.
