What is truly amazing is that every time we play, I think "surely, if even by the law of averages, by the existence of the odd bit of luck here and there, surely we MUST manage to win today? Surely we can somehow scuff in a fluky goal and win?" yet here we are, months later, and we've still only won one league match.

Then I see us play and for long periods we actually look better than the opposition, but deep down, I know we are going to concede, and pretty much every fucking time, that is exactly what we do.

Then I think, "fuck me, we can't really still have racked up less than 10 points all season, can we?" and realise that yes, we really have been that pathetic.

Derby's record is well and truly in danger.

So, we know are in deep shit and need to throw eveything into this game.
Remind me, how many efforts on goal have we mustered second half?

I just want a bit of optimism. That's not an appalling thing to ask for, is it?

It is the worst thing to ask for. Optimism is what makes it so horribly difficult to accept.

Referee's giving us nothing, every bobble goes against us, and we're astonishingly shit. I feel like we as fans are being cosmically punished.

Even if you planned to be this poor, results, performance and application wise, you would be hard pushed to actually achieve it first time out.

Garde is useless and I want him out! Moyes was the obvious choice, but once again the board make the wrong choice of Manager.

I dared myself to look at the match thread. I really shouldn't.

At the very least... I want to see them ALL breaking their necks to chase their man down for 90 minutes. Hard work reaps rewards. Apart from a couple of exclusions, this team is taking the piss out of our once great football club.

Strangely I thought exactly the same.

I've thought this for a while now. I'm not in the least bit religious but it does strike me as retribution for something we did long ago.

The other thing that depresses me is every time you hear someone come up with a stat on the box of so and so team winning only one in God knows how many games, you just know who they have won that one game against.  Latest record in danger, Norwich no clean sheets is it all season or at home?

Well, I'd say Ayew has played himself into staying in the Premier League next year.
