Southampton's kits are awful!

You're not wrong there. Reminiscent of Sheffield United back in the drug-fuelled 90s

Haven't bought a home shirt for years as not all that impressed with them lately but have bought this one, came today and love it. Collar looks great imo and there's just something very nostalgic and historic about it.. it's very "Aston Villa".
Quality is good as you would expect from UA. It's lightweight yes, but that's what sportswear is...Good job UA / AVFC

And is the colour good avfcpg?  Not the purple we see on the pics of the training kit?  Haven't managed to see it in the flesh myself yet.

It should be fine as the club give a detailed brand guide to those making things for the club with specific colour criteria used for kits.

I've got the 1980/81 retro home shirt and both the claret and the blue are lighter shades on the new UA kit. Still, looks great though I think.

Are these Premier League prices for a club in the Championship? I'm sure most clubs are selling their's at £45.

I walked into one of the main football shops in Tokyo, yesterday. They weren't selling anything Villa related, but you could buy a Hull home shirt for 11,000 Yen(about £80). Insanity!
That's a two-up two-down in Hull.

Pop over the road, how are all those Villa shirts selling in China?

Haha. I'll be asking a few mates to check this out for me!

Wonder when/whether they'll be adding more to the 'fashion' range. I'm too old and fat to be seen wearing a replica shirt in public so I usually wear a polo shirt - my current one is starting to show signs of wear (as well as shrinking while it was in the wardrobe for the past couple of months) and the only UA one they've got at the minute is a drab grey one at £44.

Unfortunately somewhere along the line between Nike and Macron, and on to UA,  the specific colour criteria provided do not reflect traditional Aston Villa colours.  As a result the colour is far from fine.

As purple as the Diadora NTL JPA-era shirt?

Is it like, how much more purple can it be and is the answer none, none more purple?

Would Prince (RIP) have liked it? He loved purple. Is it that purple? Villa should walk out to 'Purple Rain' purple?
