We're gonna win. 3-1.

They'll be drained after their Athens trip.

Ahh yes, that 3 hour business class short-haul flight  ;)

Every hour in the air is the equivalent of two on the ground. So, it'll be akin to a 7-8 hour journey. Which will explain why at 3-0 up and them taking their feet off the accelerator, it will appear as if we are coming back into it.

They were moaning about jet lag after their 15 minute flight to Norwich the other day.

Arsenal's worst performances in the last few years have come at Stoke. Can we replicate a Stoke type performance? Not sure we have the players, but we need to be up and at 'em, in their faces, and a bit nastier than we normally are.

Don't know if Stoke is a fair analogy any more. They've come a long way from the Huth, Delap and Crouch period. They're all about Shaqiri, Bojan and Arnautovic now..

Given our desperation we need to be winning our home games, we can't even beat Watford so logic would say a hammering tomorrow. I hope I'm wrong, I don't think I will be.

We will know this in the first minute

if we sit deep and let them play like at wembley we are fucked

if we steam straight into them and give away a free kick 15 seconds in then we may have a chance

Good point, this is an ideal game to kickstart the season and I would gladly dance around town stark bollock naked if we did.

Relax. Arsenal will go easy on us after their midweek exertions. We'll get a creditable result on Sunday, a routine 0-3 home defeat after which we can hold our heads up high and push on.

Apparently that banner, banned by the FA for the Cup Final, will be making it's appearance on Sunday.

How do you reckon The Aston Villa will get on in this match?

Is it true that if we don't beat Arsenal it's another record for us broken these last few pitiful years, our longest home run without a win.

We haven't beaten Arsenal at home in 17 years, not since Nigel Rogoff an RAF parachutist broke his leg falling off the roof of the old Trinity Road stand at half time dressed as Santa Claus.

Mind you, that near tragedy turned the game on its head, we were 0-2 down at half time and absolutely battered Arsenal second half, an incredible day, spookily Sunday 13th as well.

In the week before the game Arsene Wenger told Arsenal fans after a midweek game in Europe that they can't have caviar every week, sometimes they had to have sausages.  Hopefully Sunday Villa can rustle up some roast beef rather than gruel.
