a bit off topic but as a season ticket holder, the last game I saw us win in the flesh was the semi final in April, 8 bloody months  :-[

Play a left sided centre back (lescott) with a right sided centre back (Okore) and play Clark at left back (not ideal but more solid than Richardson), with Hutton at right back, Richards will be unfit.
Play a solid midfield two (sanchez and Gana) with our best two crossers either side of them (Bacuna and Sinclair).
Play two up top, Gestede and Gabby or Kozak and Ayew, and get the ball into them.
Traore and Nzog an option for Bacuna and Sinclair.
We have to go for it and stop playing fiddly diddly football, so Gil and Grealish need to sit out for a bit of biff bash bosh, it's our only hope.

Clark is suspended so it looks like the back four will pick itself - Hutton, Okore, Lescott, Richardson = dreadful

Add Guzan and that is not so much a defence but a surrender. It could get vey ugly.

We could get pelted worse than we did at the end of last season under Sherwood.

The saviour returns.

I was going to say return of the king, but we're not going to B9 (Mordor) and they're not managed by Holloway (Gollum)

On the plus side if Southampton do get more than the 6 goals it gives Gabby an ideal opportunity to improve on his 8 touches of the ball in his last game with all the restarts!

I've read this a couple of times, but I'm pretty sure Clark isn't suspended. He has 4 yellows in the league.

Clark has 4 yellows in the league and 1 in the LC against sha, so that's the 5 bookings.

Its a shame that Grealish's "ban" isnt over, but I guess Remi can tell if his attitude has changed, but I hope it he's not going to be bloody minded about it.
