Further more what really was the point in sacking Sherwood? I'm not blaming Garde for the shit we're in, but has he actually made any difference at all? At the absolute least I expected his links with Arsenal and/or Lyon to help us in this window but even that hasn't materialised. It seems to me that the club have just managed to waste a few more million quid in compounding our demise.

The whole 'who wants to come when you're bottom of the league' thing is fair enough, it must have an impact and make it more difficult, but were we not able to sign a single player who could improve us?

I'm gobsmacked if we're seriously going to go through this window without making a single fucking signing.

Indeed.  Like you say I get that it's hard, and that Aaron Ramsey doesn't probably see us as a huge step up from Arsenal.  But you look for someone slightly out of favour with their club, and then ram in a whole load of insane bonuses for helping to keep us up.  Or somebody doing the business is a lesser league, etc etc.  Signing nobody at all is just taking the fucking piss.

Yep I agree it's a load of bollocks. There must be so many players who would improve us and if the right project was sold to them they'd come. Our position is being used as an excuse to make fuck all effort. It's a disgrace and the remaining games will be a misery.
