I think it's called INERTIA

There's no way he'd come to us. Top, top player and still getting a regular game for both Barca and Spain.

It will be a couple in by deadline, don't worry folks. Players/agents/club are keeping options open til deadline or til someone shows their hand.

Won't keep us up but will make it more interesting for a while.

Jeez man.... are you real ?

The tail end of ANY transfer window is the result of desperation for 3/4th choices.
Getting anyone in scenario ~~~  which, thank God is not Remi.

He was promised, publicly, support for his targets in this window.

Fox did a blurb about how Lerner was on-the-ball and financially supportive of Remi's hopes... blah blah...

Loads of rumours and "agent-sponsored" media talk...all through the window...but NOTHING.

This last week is the real end of any transfers...nothing  outside the "Super Clubs"  is going to happen at our level.

Maybe a Championship side gets a Prem Reserve player on Jim White's SKY countdown.
WE...well, we will get nothing.

Remi is hung out to dry imo, and he will become a brilliant manager in a tomorrow.

But not with this Owner and his confused Board appointments.

Yes last time I checked, I am not a bot-net or android. ;-)

There were 27 or so deals done on deadline day (including a couple for us)in the prem last summer.

We will sign a couple, I'm sure.

Premier league clubs never get rejected for work permits.

Campbell ~ Arsenal - rejected ~ sent on loan abroad to qualify

Newcastle ~ under Pardew's  reign ~ 2 players rejected...can't spell their names and don't even know if they ever came back

Reading, Watford, etc have all had to do the Arsenal 'trick' of loaning out rejected  players  who have had failed work permits.
All Prem clubs at the time.

Possibly more, but who cares ??

Please do facts and not patronising us fans.

 :-*

I'm not sure how what I said, which was a statement of frustration, is patronising any fans.

So is this Doumbia any good? We seem to be linked with a loan.

No links to anyone in midfield, Debuchy may prefer Sunderland, and it seems we had no other options in goal - not the most exciting january window.

I will try to be vague....
.......................

It MAY have happened~~~ that there was a serious argument between Fox and Hollis
Verbal abuse and broken cups picked up later.
Wasn't about the team, was about Hollis asking....then ordering Fox out of his
" office," and  "Perk-Box".

Don't know what happened after that row and don't know what "box" Fox had as a 'perk'

Brilliant new Board though   ;D ;D   ....and I may have sacked an employee....to do this post...but she goes back to Uni in Feb~~  and is a Gooner anyway ;D

So in the unlikely event that anybody from the club is reading this and the even more unlikely event that they can actually understand what you are saying due to your horrendous use of English - you've decided to not only pass something on that you think might get somebody sacked, but in quantifying that you've decided to list various clues as to precisely who that person might be.

Top work.

Quite generous of him not to just put it in Golden Muppets although he isn't one,  not a golden one, anyway.

Anyone else find it refreshing that there appear to be less transfers this window?
I hope that means that the culture of the PL is changing and coaching/building is becoming more the norm rather than simply trying to buy success.

I'd be thrilled, were it not for the fact we urgently need loads of better players.

I wonder whether with Dubuchy we are playing 'hard ball' and refusing to pay the reported £1m loan fee and all of his £60k a week wages. This may go to the wire until one side backs down. The closer it gets to the wire, the more the player will crank up the pressure to get away.

I'm not surprised that we've been rejected a work permit for a player who only has two caps, to be honest.

I'll be even less surprised when it turns out we have no plan B, like we didn't after our laughable courting of Begovic failed to come to anything.

The position of goalkeeper is usually a long-term position and scouting takes time and also requires availability. With Bunn not looking like an accident waiting to happen (that's it, I have done it now, saying that!), Garde may not be rushing into an alternative. Also, I think this guy was his second choice so he might be holding out to the summer to give himself more time.

What a joke.

http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/lovre-kalinic-aston-villas-transfer-10809944

1. Why is it The FA issuing the work permit according to the report? Shouldn't it be the immigration service or Borders Agency or whatever they're called these days?

2. Why is Kendrick always in his car to do his little piece to camera sessions these days? Does he know that any points he gets for driving without due care and attention won't count to our tally at season's end?

3. How much has Randy had to bribe the FA TO ensure we don't spend any money? I'm assuming that's what's happened as that is his sole intention this window isn't it?
